Coach Wooden will not be down for breakfast

Post by GuestJockey » Fri Jun 04, 2010 10:02 pm

Legendary college basketball coach John Wooden passed away this evening at the age of 99. 10 NCAA titles (7 in a row) and 88 straight wins for his Bruins, but this all pales in comparison to the impact he had on the lives of countless players, coaches and fans. You'll be missed, Coach.

I read last night Coach John Wooden was very ill. Heard of his death in the breakroom on CNN. Was expected, yet my heart sank. What a fine & rare humanitarian he was. The Wizzard of Westwood & a true icon. Thank you. R I P John Wooden.
