What's up with this???

Post by Cranbiz » Sat Jul 21, 2007 1:58 am

Tonight I'm at the end of a 12 hour shift at MK. Now normally I close so it's take the bus to FIW when the park is clear and wait until it's time to clock out at Westgate. Tonight was EMH for MK and the park is open until 2am. I'm done at 1am. At 12:30 I have returned to MK and I'm instructed to shut down my bus in the South Loop. OK, no problem.

I go check in and I hear, Have a magical night, take the monorail.

Whoaa, wait a minute here, where is the bus to take me to the TTC?

Many will ask, what's wrong with the monorail or why is this a problem. Well, let me tell you.

Over the course of the day, many buses are sent on "Special Assignments" One example was something I did yesterday. I was pulled out and sent to Studios with a driver who went to the wrong hub. I have been asked to drop a driver off at TTC at the end of his shift. As we do these things all the time, now my confusion  at this should be apparent.

So I ask why no van or bus? The answer that I get is that we don't have one available to spare for 1 driver.

BULL$HIT

When I get to the monorail, there are 4 other 1:00am drivers there, we are all talking about why no bus. The only beam running is the resort beam so it's crowded with guests and it makes a stop at the Contemporary before the TTC. Just added time which almost caused me to clock out late.

The kicker, as we rode past the MK loadzones, every loadzone had a bus in it, the guest demand was actually low except for the AllStars and POP Century and there were a minimum of 15 buses waiting to get assignments and to enter the bus area! No buses my ass.

I love the way the buses get so backed up going into MK. Especially fun when you're sitting under the water bridge... waiting...

Hey, I like that for my location!

But I digress.

There's no reason they can't have you take a bus back to TTC. After a long day, you actually want a couple minutes separate from the guests, where you can recoup your brain.

It's one thing in the middle of the day, when the ferry is running, to say to take that. But Monorail at closing? Nah.

I was expecting the fur to fly as it falls off you, Wallaby. All that stress can cause a wallaby to loose its fur. I will go wash my brain as I was thinking of a furless wallaby, lol.

See how tired I was? I misspelled "too"! I never use the wrong one, "two" is always "two", "to" is always "to", and "too" is always "too".

I'm so ashamed.

And as far as the fur, this wallaby will never loose his fur. And when you scrub your eyeballs, please don't use a wire brush...it takes you weeks to recover from that. Use the softest sponge you can find.

I'm not sure how to take that question.

And Zazu, that's one smiley we DON'T need, thanks. :D:

But I'm pretty sure it would look like a naked molerat, except nicer. Or maybe Dr. Evil's cat with a really long tail and big feet.
