If there were a bug in the system that allowed you to get FPs without having the tickets in use in that park, that would not give you carte blanche to take advantage of it. Finding loopholes in a system's programing, in order to do things that the programmers didn't intend for you to do, is exactly what "circumventing" is.

Since the ability to do it doesn't exist, you can't ascertain what the intention of the programmers would have been were one able to do so.

The whole thing is moot, because, again:
1. You are not able to use a ticket for a FP in a park where the ticket has not been scanned at the front
2. You are not able to scan a ticket at the front without each ticket's owner there

End of fun discussion. ;)

I can confirm that everyone has to go through the turnstyles in order to get FPs. When I worked at Toy Story, I had many people who tried coming to the park ahead of their party in order to get FPs, and the others' tickets would not work.

According to Wikipedia when Fastpass was first introduced one could do that. It says that old tickets and even other park's admission media would work to get a Fastpass. That big was quickly corrected though.

Bloody stupid Wikipedia wasn't standing behind a folding table outside the entrance to KSR hand writing FastPass slips so thrice-damned stinking Wikipedia can go jump in a lake.

Also, please keep in mind that tweens should always be supervised at a pool. You mentioned them having their swimsuits on already ... Children unfer (I believe it's 16) are required to be supervised at the pools. This is for your (their) safety/enjoyment as well as the safety/enjoyment of others.

Fastpasses are specific to the park they are distributed in. They are only networked within that park, not across property. If you received one for Space Mountain and decided to park hop to Epcot you would not have to wait until the time printed on the bottom of your previous Fastpass.

Fastpass was designed as a service to get guests to shop, dine, and see other attractions within that park that they might not have normally done if they were waiting in standby queues. It was never intended for guests who were not in the park - your entire party has to be in that park to use it.
