last space shuttle launch in NOV

We had a nice view of last November's shuttle launch while sitting in the shade near the boat dock behind the Contemporary Resort.

I saw the last Dawn launch from Titusville near the park (looking across the river)

Some of those photos when viewed at full size (I don't have that enabled on smugmug though) you can make out the full stack as it ascends...

I hope to get tickets to get even closer for the next one, but those disappear real fast.

The closer you are the more spectacular it is :D: (Esp if it's a dawn / dusk / night launch)
