Mechanic - Orlando Area
Do any of the central Floridians have a trusted mechanic in the area?

Brakes. I'm borrowing my in-law's car to go and yesterday he tells the Mrs there may be something with the brakes. Unless he's trying to tell her something?MyLittleAngels wrote:Depends .. What sort of work do you need done?

He's trying to get it to a shop today for me (which obviously is preferred) but you never know...

I've been happy with the work done by Action Gator on South OBT for the past ten years. This is the one between the 417 and the 528, btw.

I haven't needed his services, but my father has used Ken's Performance with good results.

Not sure if you've gotten it looked at yet, but I've had lots of luck with the Meineke in Ocoee (just up 429 from Disney). They've been honest, friendly, and even gave me free labor on a wheel bearing change (the bearings themselves were still under warranty, but the labor was long since gone - and yes, I know they should last, but for some reason my van eats a front set every year).

There is something seriously wrong with that. I'd think seriously about finding someone who can determine the root mean cause of them failing or buy another vehicle.MyLittleAngels wrote:... but for some reason my van eats a front set every year).

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Perhaps, but since I have been known to be one of those ..." hmmmm here's some extra screws they must have packed with the car. I'll just put them in the ash tray" I'll leave it to the professionals.Honda Enoch wrote:Breaks are easy. DIY save the money.
Luckily the car was fixed before the trip, but thank you all for the suggestions... I'll be keeping them on hand for when the next adventure with this car kicks up.
