WDW Announces new Value resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Post by Rob562 » Fri May 14, 2010 1:19 am

After sitting neglected for almost a decade, Walt Disney World will finally complete the other half of the Pop Century resort, but will build it as "Disney's Art of Animation Resort", due to open in phases throughout 2012.

It will be predominantly Family Suites, similar to the ones currently found at the All-Star Music resort, but there will also be three buildings of standard rooms.

Sections will be themed to Little Mermaid, Cars, Finding Nemo and Lion King.

I have to say, I'm excited. I think when we go next March, we're going to stay at the Poly (we've only stayed onsite once at it was at Riverside), but this looks great with the family suites that I'll have an excuse for a trip in 2013!!!! (plus, the Fantasyland should be done by then, I think)

"Yes, I would like a suite in the Lion King section..."

"Oh, I'm sorry, sir. All we have left in that section is the Elephant's Graveyard, and no-one is allowed to go there...."

We were in the middle of the Nemo Stampede at DLR a few years ago. It was a great example of group think as they were all chanting Nemo, Nemo, Nemo.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
