I have heard through the grape vine that back stage behind Village Haus at DL, there is going to be a big renovation. New packer, new plumbing, etc. Who else has heard about this?

You said it, not me :D :D :D

Just remember that even Walt himself said DL was a mistake. So he built WDW to improve everything.

Yup. Disneyland is the original, and the only park that Walt ever saw completed and actually stepped in and enjoyed. The Disneyland Resort has its share of awesome things too!

And by the way, bigger does not necessarily mean better.

Source please??

Walt wanted to have more space, I have found NO record of Walt calling Disneyland a "mistake".

Keep in mind that most originals are what led to the better build later on. DLR is the BETA version of Disney parks. Every park since DL has been bigger and better.

Any video on the history of WDW, Walt, DL, ect.

Walt mentions MANY mistakes made in the building and outcome of DL that is why he planned WDW.

You are changing your story now.

He thought it was a mistake that he did not purchase enough land around Disneyland, he has NEVER said "Disneyland was a mistake."

You have never been to Disneyland, Why do you assume that it is necessarily "better" that WDW?

"DLR is the BETA version of Disney parks." That is just your opinion. Its a known fact that POTC is much better at Disneyland. Therefore, bigger is not necessarily better, Heck, POTC wasn't even at Magic Kingdom when it opened.

Walt felt that he had made mistakes in not purchasing enough land for Disneyland. He never called Disneyland a mistake.

Just because something is bigger doesn't mean it's better. Some things are better at WDW, some are better at DLR. Walt didn't consider DLR as a whole a mistake but he did learn from the mistakes he made there when designing WDW. The main advantage WDW has over DLR is the room to expand and the buffer around the parks to keep the real world away.

I've visited WDW my entire life and have worked there for over 2 years and visited DLR last year for my first time. I saw first hand that some things are done better at WDW and some things are done better at DLR. IMO one resort is not better than the other as a whole, they both have things better than the other and worse than the other.

DLR makes much better use of their space because of their lack of room. There's a lot of wasted space in WDW partially because their is so much room they don't have to make use of it. This is both good and bad. Good that there is room to expand, bad in that places Disney spent good money to build sit empty for many years. The Wonders of Life pavilion at Epcot, for instance, has sat mostly unused since the attraction there closed up years ago. It is only used for special events such as Flower and Garden Festival and those only use a small part of the building. There's a whole portion of Pop Century that was abandoned during construction and has been left to rot since. Disneyland doesn't just abandon good buildings, they refurbish them or tear them down to build something new.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
