Captain EO is returning to WDW.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

Story
Just when I though that Disneyland was going to be the only park to have it back...
Oh well, DCA will still have the all new World of Color starting June 11th, and the show infrastructure is so large and expensive that there is no way that WDW will ever get it. ;)

DL has EO too. and MSEP should be in ALL the parks forever.darph nader wrote:Good idea. You folks get EO,and we'll keep MSEP. ;)![]()
And WDW will have a new Fantasyland that is so big it will dwarf the entire DLR.Disneyguy85 wrote:Good God...

I have seen Captain EO. If you have a weak stomach, take dranmine. Watch the seats. The chairs are better than the regular seats. They should have Captain EO open for grad nites, the seniors would be sent back to the buses faster.

I kind of like the seat bumping effect. :D:turkeyham wrote:I have seen Captain EO. If you have a weak stomach, take dranmine. Watch the seats. The chairs are better than the regular seats. They should have Captain EO open for grad nites, the seniors would be sent back to the buses faster.
I'm just glad that they don't do it for the last song, ("Another Part of Me") clearly they realized that the audience wouldn't be able handle anymore movement after the Supreme Leader is transformed.

Ok, I saw captian Eo last thursday at Disneyland. I really dont remember it sucking that bad last time I saw it. The seats moving gave me chest pains, I couldnt wait for it to end. I'm glad its temporary, I just hope they put in a new show when its run is done.

Re: Captain EO is returning to WDW.
Well, I for one glad that Captain EO was brought back to Disneyland for a limited engagement.
Its great to see the film again, and it seems to be very popular with the crowds. I actually appreciate it a lot more now that I'm older and can understand the story better, as well as not be scared by the 3D effects. I'm also glad that "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" is gone.
Also, according to that Disney Parks blog post, Captain EO will also be heading to Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
There is no word on what will occupy the Disneyland theater when Captain EO stops playing.

I hope WDW don't put EO in a moving theater like they did at DL.turkeyham wrote:I have seen Captain EO. If you have a weak stomach, take dranmine. Watch the seats. The original EO show didn't have moving seats.
