Fast Food Does This To Your Brain?

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I have to admit I've been on the other side of that. Way back when I worked at a Church's Chicken, and we came out with our own chicken nuggets about a year after McDonalds. If things were slow, we'd occasionally mess with customers who tried to order "McNuggets." :o: :)

Actually, there is a good reason why, if you ask for an item served at a different chain, they will confirm they don't have that and/or suggest a similar product they do carry. While, admittedly, most folks won't have a problem getting the similar product, there is always that small percentage that will get their knickers in a twist if they don't get precisely what they ordered, logic and common sense be damned.

I was at a Taco Bell for lunch one day and a family walked in and a guy just ordered a large fry. The cashier just rang up tacos instead of telling him since he made a big deal to his wife that he knows what he wants and doesn't need the menu. When he got his order he went off. The manager came out and was being yelled at for about 20 minutes, he threw the food and walked out. Wish I taped it.

Not sure who was really the more stupid one the guy or cashier.

That is a close call. The man showed a lack of intelligence as well as an overabundance of ego, while the cashier had an extraordinary failure to use common sense, as not only did he not let the customer know that they did not have the requested item, but they substituted another item for the requested one without informing the customer beforehand. Together, they managed a rather large amount of fail that the manager had to deal with.
