Working design will look like a single-car version of the TTC, and yes, it would have a touch-screen control. It would also sense the RFID chip in your ticket and offer to take you to your car or your hotel. Narration would be in your native language.

But it would not be underground, except for cast access to the Magic Kingdom. Remember the low water table. Most would be on the surface, with bridges at intersections.

I think you just described the "pods" (or whatever they were) on Syndrome's island in "The Incredibles".

And it looks like those might happen in London and Mountain View, CA soon...

Having been through Heathrow, I'll state this will be an improvement. In 2007 we were flying to Germany/Austria for a tour. We had to change planes at Heathrow. Flew into terminal 1 going to terminal 4. "Ah, here's a people mover sidewalk." NOT working. Trudge along, stairs "Ah, there's an escalator." Not working. Out the door to a shuttle bus. No seats, have to stand. Now, can we go directly to terminal 4? NO, welcome to terminal 2. Now we repeat the this same scenario in terminals 2, 3 and 4. Plus the added pleasure of going through security again to board the plane. Heathrow, an abomination unto God. :mad:

I once had a flight from Chattanooga to Orlando, the connector flight from ALT to Chatt and back was late (little less then an hour). But I had a lay over in ATL so I was going to be ok, (so I thought) we land at Concourse C, my next flight, Concourse A. So I jump on the train, and away we go. Stops at the next stop in Concourse C, then on to B. NOT!!!! It sits, and sits, and sits, Then they get going again. Pull into B let people on and off. And that was the end of that train. It was DOA. So I hop off and book it. running through the terminal, literally jumping over people, luggage, ect. I get to A, and see the numbers. My gate? #29, Where was I? #1 Flying through the air some more I make it. I see #29. I sprint. I jump. I land right at the counter......... JUST in time for them to close the door on me and not let me on the plane MOTHER @#%#&&#%^# GOD @&*$&$&@$&* SON OF A @$&$@&$@*

thank god they knew it was their fault for the late connector plane and they bumped me to the very next flight which departed about 10 mins later...FROM GATE B22. *bangs head*. You can guess what I had to do to make it to that gate on time.

We connected through Atlanta to Macon, GA on Delta a few years ago. It's about the same distance headed southeast.

The plane sat about 15 passengers and had propellers. It looked like it could have fit under one of the large jets near us.
It's cruising altitude and speed was way lower. We got up to our cruising altitude and started descending about three minutes later.
