A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I'm watching the CGI one right now. holy crap he hit the chick in the head with a box
and omg that girl in customer service! That is awful. I've spent 10 of my 12 years of working in customer service and she is giving c/s a bad rep! Oh the things she is doing wrong, it's awful!!

http://www.bransonsilverdollarcity.com/ That's the park that's on the show tonight.
I haven't had a chance to watch the episode yet, but I have it on my DVR. My dad works security for this park (and at a couple of other Herschend family businesses). Even if the show is sugarcoated, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I watched the Herschend and Hooters episodes. The Herschend guy seemed to really have his eyes opened up, good things they are going to do there. The manager of the Hooters in South Arlington was a major douche bag. I would have had the franchise owner in there kicking that guy out on camera.
The locations they chose for the Hooters were familiar to me, I've eaten at the Dallas and Arlington locations, but not the Fort Worth one.

I've seen this one and the Whitecastle one. I think I liked the Whitecastle one better, but I'll continue watching.

I like the show, but I will admit....they are WAAYYYY sugar-coated. No way if you pick five people to work with are they all going to be wonderful (and I'm not counting the crappy customer service rep at CGI and the horrible manager at Hooters). I do think the CEOs are learning something while undercover, but I think they also need to realize they might have not-so-good workers. I just watched the Hershand one on Saturday and was surprised to learn they own Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ....in my back yard!
Like I said, overall good show and I think it does teach the CEOs that manual labor is hard, but I think the corporation's public relations department definitely have a say!

We have had season passes to Silver Dollar City for many years because the parkis very entertaining and family oriented. The Herschends seem to be very down to earth and have a good rapport with the Branson community. He has given employees some very nice gifts according to the local paper.

its becoming obvious that they "pick" the employees that they are working with while filming the show.
I find it interesting that there "happens" to be an employee in every show that has some pretty major problems, and the boss always seems to go a great distance to correct them.
good "free" PR for the company
