Truth be told, if you learn to control it (and I mean true ADD, not this stuff that kids are diagnosed with daily), Attention Deficit can be a great asset to a driver. It can help you stay awake, you notice EVERYTHING that happens around you, and you hyperfocus on what you are doing. In fact, when I am driving, in my mind everything happens in slow motion because I allow the ADD to kick in and now I am mentally rocketing around the road and around my bus.Cranbiz wrote:ADD is a desired qualification to drive at Mears.
So for me, having ADD in a driving job (and I was one of the first five in Oregon to be diagnosed with Attention Deficit without the Hyperactivity) is a great thing.
