At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Caught a glimpse of the sign on the commercial, and did a google search for 'Herschend Family'. It pulled up a list of their parks and such, and on one of the park pages, it mentions the show tonight.
http://www.bransonsilverdollarcity.com/ That's the park that's on the show tonight.

that man was such a d-bag.
Theme park episode was kind of disappointing to me, I was hoping for something better. It did however, make me miss working at a theme park.

The theme park episode was the only one so far that didn't have an employee screw up like the Hooters manager or the call center agent. Just goes to show amusement parks get good people.shinysparklybubbles wrote:Theme park episode was kind of disappointing to me, I was hoping for something better. I was surprised the amusement park CEO handed out some pretty expensive goodies. The one kid scored huge with the scholarship. The rest of the CEOs were pikers compared to him.

I call BS on that episode. All the employees were obviously hand picked to have the most emotional impact for the show. I was hoping that this would be a good introduction to a new show for me. I was sadly disappointed.hobie16 wrote:The theme park episode was the only one so far that didn't have an employee screw up like the Hooters manager or the call center agent. The theme park was a bit too sweet. The producers probably pick the employees but it looks like the CEO has no idea on who he'll be paired with.CujoSR wrote:I call BS on that episode. Watch the GCI episode. The CEO is visibly pissed at the call center agent.
