True. :)

Anyone know if those wraps damage the paint when they peel them off? I just imagine pealing packing tape off a window leaving all the sticky. :D

If they do, someone will be nearby doing a rimshot.

I'd imagine monorails have to be repainted/cleaned pretty often as it is, exposed to the wind and rain as they are. Maybe WDW has a massive tub of Goo-Gone backstage somewhere. :p:

I kind of like the Tronorail design. I like the shocking blue and yellow shades they used. I wouldn't like them long term, but as ad wraps go they're quite nice.

Actually, the wrap would protect the paint. I strip our cars before we auction them. The paint is pristine under the vinyl decals (unlike the rest of the car) so you get a dull black trunk with a shiny POLICE from the rear.

I'm sure the adhesive used on Coral's wrap isn't nearly as strong as the stuff we use on our cars since this is intended to be temporary. There are also companies that will (used to?) wrap your personal car and use it as an advertisement.

However, didn't I read that the nose cone was painted? If you look at the picture i posted, I believe you can see the seam where the wrap stops and the paint begins. Wrapping doesn't do well on corners. One of our neighboring agencies decided to wrap their cars to make black and whites instead of painting, saving $200 or so per car. After the first batch came out, they were less than pleased with the bumpers and the curves... so they removed the wrap (about $200) and then painted the cars.

Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

I mean it's OK to see something different, as long as it's not permanent...but I still don't like the idea of moving billboards

Yes and no.

The cabs and roof are painted. The rest of the design is just a matte wrap. The marketing devision of TRON paid for us to do this, and they are also paying to revert it back to normal. So we get a free paint job out of it...and Coral needed a new paint job.

I heard they all were getting new paint jobs, and that during the new paint jobs they were removing the Image icons off the cabs.

It's strange because Silver was painted a few years ago...they left out the "D's" and Yellow was painted AFTER silver and it got the "D's". Then we got Monorail Teal, and they left them out this time. I think that it's just an inconsistency.

Then M_Red, I think you need to grab a jar of silver touch up paint and give her the D back. I'm sure no one would notice (and those that would probably wouldn't mind).
