But because of the fact that timing is extremely important on GMR, we can't deviate from the script to remind Guests no flash pictures nor can we E-stop the ride unless it becomes a serious safety issue for the Tour Guide or the character. I've been told to use hand motions as a friendly reminder to make the Guest stop.

Only time I've been told of that a CM reminded Guests of no flash pictures while inside the ride was in the Anubis scene when one of the Gangster performers parked the vehicle and reemed the Guests in question out after finishing the spiel for that scene.
I may have actually been in that vehicle. I did have a gangster repeatedly tell people to stop taking pictures. He/She got very agitated (was at least two years ago so I only remember the situation).

Well, it only makes sense that a gangster in the act of committing a crime wouldn't want their picture taken and when they see flashes they don't know what the subject is going to be. So, it's perfectly in character to yell at people taking pictures.

The Pirates cast is always talking to guests about taking pictures... we get annoyed with ourselves... and usually by the end of the day, at least 2-3 of us are nursing headaches...

We had one guest filming during the ride one time... with what shone like a mag light for an external light... one of our cast members got on the PA system... TWICE to get him to turn the light off... and we're normally not supposed to spiel over the PA in the ride unless it's a safety thing!

He was sure you weren't talking to 'him'. Must have been someone else on the ride.

Or it could also be that a flash is really blinding (and it would not be too good to have a gangster/bandit/tour guide fall out of the vehicle). ;)

I'm always telling others at GMR that if my vehicle comes into Dock without a tour guide, it's because I fell off because of camera flashing

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

There are reasons why The Lost Temple was changed from it's original layout.

Sure those make sense for CMs to get angry about, but I think a gangster would have more on his mind than falling out of the vehicle. You need to remember to think of the character in that kind of situation. It would also work to come up with tour guide reasons for the tour guide to use while staying in character, like it will fade the colors or something, it doesn't have to be true or even make sense. Also, it wouldn't be out of character for a bandit to take a flashing camera.
