Post by Doctor McKey » Wed Mar 17, 2010 10:53 am

I am working on a project that requires research on the dumbest of dumb questions that have been asked/recieved for the Disney Properties.... and any good answers for the come back....

EXAMPLE: ( This really happened to me when i worked in TL )

Guest: As their any way you can make it stop raining?

ME(1): Let me pull out my phone and give Mother Nature a call... She owes me a favor!

ME(2): I wish we could, but the Forced Ionic Hemisphere ( Force Field ) is currently down for your futur enjoyment...

ME(3): Im sorry... this is not the Truman Show... ( ok... this one i have not said .... yet... )

Why are you complaining about the rain when at a " WATER PARK" ?

Is it not the point to get wet?

LOL - I had someone come up to me in Guest Services (lobby concierge) on Christmas Day wanting a refund for that day's park entry because it rained at Epcot on Christmas.

Guess I had forgotten to ask to seal the geodome over the park when I wrote my letter to Santa Image

When I was Store Traditions trained back in the late 80's (which at the time was done with someone sent from California- it was the real thing) we were told that the most commonly asked question in the MK back then (and one I most enjoyed) was "What time does the 3 o'clock parade start?"

The guy who said that (and who trained me) is still at the Institute...

In fairness, I've only gotten that question once (not counting smart-ass fellow CMs). The most common stupid question I got in the Park was probably folks asking if a sign meant what it said.

"Yes ma'am, we put a restroom sign on that building because there are indeed restrooms inside."

*smacks forehead*

at least I'm not guilty of that particularly dumb question though the last time I was there I know I looked like a real genius a couple of times when I couldn't read signs right in front of me and asked, say, where the exit was LOL

You guys should get special, secret symbol service award pins for enduring stupid questions. Maybe something with say, the mad hatter and a series of ??? on it...

I can almost understand this SGT - with all the theming at our parks and resorts, sometimes signs are just decorative/thematic (several spots at DAK come to mind at the moment).

That said, if you see a restroom sign and you see guests continually coming in and out of the doorway(s), I think it's safe to assume that it's a real restroom :D:

That's assuming they aren't taking a leak in the bushes. :D:
