If I might go off on a tangent, regarding some of the recent posts?

I have notice an unfortunate tendency for some folks to equate something they don't like with being wrong or stupid. While in some cases, this is true, it is not a consistent rule. For example, when I heard that the Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse was being converted and renamed "Tarzan's Treehouse", I wasn't for it. It rubbed me the wrong way, and I felt it was a shame that they were going to remove a piece of Disney history. However, I could also see a very good reason for making the change. After all, the Swiss Family Robinson came out in 1960, and most of the kids (and even a good number of adults, as well) probably would not have heard of it, let alone seen it. Tarzan, however, was much better known. So, while the traditionalist in me was disappointed, the more rational side could see the wisdom in the move.

Decorating the monorails to promote the release of the new Tron movie is a bit like that. While it might not appeal to everyone, it doesn't seem over-the-top or even tacky.

Now, if they had gone with putting "Hanna Montana" on them, then that I would have chalked up to shameless promotion. :)

Um...actually, to be honest, that isn't too bad. True, it is messing a bit with the "classic" monorail design, but it isn't as bad as it could have been. The majority of the train is untouched. Now, if it had been a full "wrap", done in hot pink with a flowery design on it, THAT would have been tacky and overdone. However, given the choice, I would say that advertising Disney television series on the monorails: not such a good idea. Advertising Disney's upcoming movies: A bit more reasonable, though should be on a case-by-case basis.

Why do I feel that if Disney announced that on the "Express and Resort Lines", certain trains would be done up to promote Summer Nighttastic, showcasing various version of MSEP on them, that the exact same people (Looking with a "Burn a hole in your head" gaze at you, DisneyLov. . . Honda Enouch) would go batshit crazy because it promotes things in the park, and not some "Horribly wretched movie"?

Like it or not, when this movie blows up records and critics, we'll see the long wanted attractions for TRON. . . and the next movie Disney is releasing plastered all over the vehicles. Rupunz. . . Tangled, I meant, sorry. . . POTC 4. It'll happen.

so all i have to say is NONONONO although I will give credit for trying the design looks cool but stick to wrapping buses. Take the monorails back to the original look THE END!
