Yes, I know. I did not help the argument in any way.

Carry on.
Or maybe it won't happen. Don't get me wrong, I completely disagree with the SG idiots who made those insensitive comments when this happened last year. But maybe enough time has past that some of them have mellowed out and become more sympathetic to the loss.

Of course, if you do get a bad apple amongst the crowd, just deal with them the way you always have. To me, it appears that it's worked quite well.

For Narnia! And for Aslan!

Not to mention that the absolute millions of people that don't even know it happened. The over-active Disney fans are not that big a crowd. When it first happened sure...many probably made stupid comments thinking that they might lighten the air with their clever rapports, some were just stupid and mean spirited, but I still believe in humans enough to think that they are few and far between. Didn't I read someplace the purple was also Walt's favorite color?

I just have to offer my hugs to everybody. That's all.

I for one am glad that some of those most effected by what happened last July can come here and express their opinions as varied as those may be (or not) -- I feel honored to listen.

I think sometimes the best thing any person can do for another is just to listen.

As far as painting and what they've done to the Contemporary concourse- all emotional issues aside I don't know how they could make it much worse. I was watching old video of my daughter playing in the Concourse the way that it used to be and I hate the way it looks now. Now it's so cluttered.

Just tell me they're not taking away the mosaic anytime soon...please.

I will always <3 everybody at Monorail Operations. You know there are very few places in my house you can go without being within visual of a monorail in one form or another so you guys are always with me- and I can tell you for a certainty that not a single day goes by that I don't think of Austin and all of you.

In fact, i have to pry my new Monorail Orange out of the box tonight if I can and put it up with the rest. been too sick the past few weeks to do it but I can't wait to see what it looks like up there.

hugs,
bru

One one hand, I do like it. I like the change, I like that it looks different from what it did a year ago and it looks good. Purple is, always was, and always will be a great color to have around.

At the same time, my reason for disliking it is a bit more pointed. I can just see the guests now coming up... "Oh, did you guys paint it purple 'cuz that idiot got the Darwin Award?"

What he said.

Only thing I have to add to this...TTC & the yellow paint scheme HAD to go. I've been watching the progress on the paint and I like it. Almost anything would be better than what it looks like now.

As to the color purple...one of my favorite colors. Like Wallaby said, it's a good color to have around. I'll grab some pics next time I can. I think that when its all done, it will look pretty neat.

When we say "concourse" we mean the Epcot platform at the TTC. Nothing has changed recently at the Contemporary station, and I don't see the mosaic going away at all.

Actually, during the recent rehab at the Contemporary, there was a proposal to remove or cover up the largest surviving Mary Blair mural!

Contemporary General Manager Thea Sargent informed the powers that be that they would have to kill her first.

Now I've only seen Thea when she was smiling. I don't think I'd want to see her when she was quite *that* unhappy.

The mural will be safe as long as she's at the Contemporary.

They perhaps you should look it up.

I actually remove a post in reply to your silly segway about child abduction.

you see, I really have a lot more experience with those sort of things than you could ever imagine.

please don't put yourself as an expert in such things unless you have spent the many years and thousands of hours working on such cases that I have.
