I see both sides to this issue. I am torn.

One one hand, I do like it. I like the change, I like that it looks different from what it did a year ago and it looks good. Purple is, always was, and always will be a great color to have around.

At the same time, my reason for disliking it is a bit more pointed. I can just see the guests now coming up... "Oh, did you guys paint it purple 'cuz that idiot got the Darwin Award?"

Yes, I know. I did not help the argument in any way.

Carry on.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I just did & will continue to. A bit off topic but, how do you feel abt Chelsea King murder near your area? How do you feel abt Amber Dubois missing semi near your area? Not at all as I feel! Not as deeply as I hurt! You probably haven't been involved with either family. You can't possibly feel what I feel if you aren't in someway strongly connected. No argument is intended here. Simply wanted to state facts I firmly believe.

you obviously don't think someone else can have a viewpoint or feelings.

But your logic makes no sense. So because someone get hurt, dies, goes missing, or any other possible tragedy. Then we should all just stop using whatever?

So if a little girl is taken while walking down XYZ street, then everyone should stop walking, driving, living on XYZ street because it brings back the memories of the little girl?

Oh and you might not want to say that a situation effects YOU stronger because you live closer or further away. A situation can effect someone in many ways no mater how far away they live.

I think it's ok for them to be repainting. Yes, I can definitely see the objections. But the monorail system must be allowed to move forward. The TTC has been in pretty bad shape for years, it could use fresh paint. Pink and purple are bright cheery colors to the general public. In the big picture, the show must go on. My bet is the next train they get on the system will be purple, pink, or a combo there of.

I don't think they will ever bring another pink or purple online again, those colors are retired now.

And beside, if you think people are getting in a tift over painting a wall purple, imagine if they had a purple or pink train again.

A question: Isn't the TTC signage purple? Is this a continuation of the signage color scheme to to walls (where it hadn't been before)? Not sure the answer would make a difference to people's opinions either way, but if they are just using the same purple from the signs to add some color, it would at least explain the color choice.

Oh, just a note - the color purple was a favorite of the entertainment CM who passed. The memorial bulletin board created in her honor was decked in it. I don't suppose it has to go as well.
