Correct, there were freight cars (Retlaw2) and guests had to stand while they rode in them. Eventually they were modified, seats put in so you faced the park as you rode (and to give you a good view of the Dinosaur Diorama). They are still in use today, known as Holliday Red. The Lilly Belle Parlor Car is the only one of the passenger coaches (Retlaw1) they kept, it was known as the Grand Canyon car. There is a push by the Carolwood Foundation to acquire and preserve the Combine Car from the original passenger coaches. It is said the Combine (combination passenger/freight) was Walt's favorite, as it reminded him of his days as a news butcher on the Missouri Pacific Train.
