We actually had a newbie ask a question (in disABILITIES) and when she got answers she did not like started tossing insults left and right. The other mod for that forum tried to be the "good guy" to calm this person down, but then she proceeded to savage that moderator. I came in as the "bad guy" and sent an official warning (but it was nicely worded, including the fact that we were giving her a lot of slack as she was new). Less than 30 minutes after receipting that PM she posted a 50+ line diatribe about all the people in the Forum.Shorty82 wrote:I frequent the Theme Parks, Camping, and disABILITIES boards and browse but the topics but not usually read the Resorts board.
The Camping and disABILITIES boards are made up of wonderful people and the last time a poster got out of hand majorly (the other day) on the Theme Parks board his threads were deleted and I believe he was banned.
I've looked through the Photography board a few times and did like it. I need to go browse through there some more.
Overall the posters there are good people who love WDW and want to help out others who don't know that much about it.
I asked the webmasters for help. While waiting for a response, she registered under a new name and posted to the DisneyLand Forum, but due to the way the question was worded a moderator for that forum moved the thread she started to disABILITIES! She started in quietly. By this time there had ben a few phone calls between me and the other moderator. However, I was able to check IP addresses and they were exactly the same so we decided to just keep an eye on her.
We even got some PMs from some of the other regulars in disABILTIES saying that the writing style seemed similar (they like the mods there).
Anyway, she started attacking again and then one of the webmasters banned her, but did send a nice e-mail to her telling her if she would calm down and ask nicely she may get reinstated.
I have the IP marked down, and if she shows up again she will get banned again.
And, Shorty, thanks for your kind words to both Sue and myself.
