A Tale of Two Bales

Post by kurtisnelson » Sun Dec 20, 2009 12:41 am

Second-hand SGT story told to me by a security CM today:
A man comes up the the Magic Kingdom bag check with his wife and two kids. Everyone else in the family goes through like normal, but the man [hereby referred to as the SG] refuses to let the security CM inspect his bag. He doesn't want to leave when given the option, he just sits there wanting to go in but refusing to have his bag opened. At this point, the CM calls over a manager to try and get him to leave or let them look in it. Still won't budge. Finally they get Orange County over and offer to resolve this issue backstage. He willingly goes back with them along with his family, who is very confused as to why he won't let them inspect the bag. Finally, under whatever circumstances, they get to open the bag. Inside are two bales of Marijuana. Upon seeing this, the wife informs him that he is trying to ruin their vacation, and tells OCPD to go ahead and take him away to jail, she will deal with him once she and her kids have had their vacation. She gets handed a fastpass or two, and sent on her way into the park while the SG is shipped off to 33rd street.

WTF was he planning to do? Start his own little business in one of the abandoned kiosks?

I wonder when this occurred. We had a strange security 'lockdown' when we were there. On Dec 6, we went to Epcot during the day and getting through security was the normal procedure of a cursory look through our bags. When we went to MK that night for the party boy had things changed. All of a sudden even if you had a travel wallet around your neck you had to go through the bag check and strollers too. You literally had to have NO BAGS whatsoever to go through the no bag line and they were really checking EVERY SINGLE LITTLE POCKET of our bags at the bag check. They even made us open up our travel wallets to look inside.

Now did this family drive or take a plane to get to the MK? If he took the plane, it goes through x-ray. So, how do you park that without smelling it right off hand?

You are right about taking that to It's tough to be a bug. I think it would be more fun on Muppet Vision.

I know on New Years Eve, they check all pockets too. SG love to smoggle is alcohol and add it to their beverage. I have seen where people try to sneak in glass bottles. Glass bottles are not allowed inside the parks.

Yesterday was RAVE day at Disneyland. Some cast members know at 4:20 pm in front of the castle, the group smokes pot. I have not seen this, but have seen some SG individuals smoke pot near the Golden Horseshore. But again, there were about 50 of these people in the park.

That might have been related to the German incident, or was it a day of parade filming?

The German Tourist was about a week before this. It was the Sunday of the parade weekend. I know they had to move the parade taping to Sunday due to the pouring rain on Friday but we were entering MK for the party at about 6:30pm when the security was really tight. Most parade guests would have been on their way out.
