I was IASW when it decided it no longer wanted to play games. We were first boat that was not next to a platform, so the CM's just looked at us and told us to sit tight, the boats in front were evac'd. They did turn off the music, but it kept going in my head so it was really pointless.

They did get it moving again, and we got readmits (or whatever they are called, I'm having a Darph moment), so I got to see GAC SG Abuse in action at the Matterhorn!

MAPO: Thank you for coming out to help with our situation on sunday. Hopefully we can learn something from this "exercise". With my background in Fire and EMS and evacs.. i think we did a 6 on the 10 scale. I can suggest improvments.. but who's going to listen to me.. i only carry a yellow card. never mind my 10 years as an EMT or 6 years as a fire fighter.

Using cigarette butts as ear plugs is an old military trick. Field expedient and all that. Only use new ones though.

See, you're just proving my point, the music was turned off, and I'm guessing that you weren't there for two hours, in fact, I would say not even an hour. But yet, every time I'm somewhere and someone new finds out I work at Disneyland on small world, the first thing out of their mouth is, I was stuck on that ride for two hours once, and they left the music on. I've learned to just look at them with uh huh face and/or move the conversation. I've tried telling them it didn't happen, but they always insist, so I just save the time and effort.

Yep, just like when we broke POTC, they turned off the talking skull before the drop.

The CM's do not make anyone suffer on IASW, one chooses to do that on their own :D:
