New guy from Indy

Post by DanC » Sat Jun 23, 2007 5:16 am

Whats up my fellow cms and cool guests. I currently work at DLR on Indy, I have a lot of fun cause indy goes 101 so much!

Just figured I would introduce myself and why I am here. I made an account on miceage and told a lot of people some really cool stuff. You know how those APs are, so damn nosy about our attractions. Anyways I had a lot of reputation and helped a lot of people out. Apparently you cant voice your opinion over their with the nazi mods they have. I was banned shortly afterwards. I said no problem fuck those stuck up pussies, I dont need them. Then I got some intel from a fellow CM that one those fuckers had taken pictures of Indy and me during a evac on Wednesday night after an auto e.
This pissed me off and I went back on and made a new account and figured they would understand. I was banned within 5 minutes.

Damn I typed a lot. Well I am sure some sniveling ap will post this on miceage, that website is so jacked up and stands for everything that is wrong with stupid guests.

Im still bummed I havent been SEP'd from Indy when it Auto-E-Stopped. :( (Though I have PLENTY of experience SEPing from Mine Ride when it E-Stops, very scary situation. :p: Loved every experience I had doing that. Running up and down 3 flights of stairs to different locations where the trains were at. Along with other good things like derailments and such! :D: )

Anyways, yeah that Miceage site is pretty weird. The APs pride themselves in being gods or something and think they know more than CMs (or ride ops, for us KBFers). You shouldnt have a problem fitting in here. You sure wont be this angry about things over here, its quite mellow all the time. :o:

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

I agree the MiceAge folks are jerks, as are the LaughingPlace crowd. It's why I no longer bother at their sites. I do take issue with your use of language to describe them; regardless of their acts I think you could temper your use of profanity in describing them.
Just a thought.

I see where you are coming from but that is my personality. You also have to understand I had just gotten off a back to back grad nite/closing shift so I was little tired and pissed off.

This place is pretty cool, I am sure I have seen some of you guys at the park. Man I was browsing through some of the posts here and I felt right at home!

Freak: An auto e-stop is soooo rare on indy you are lucky to see one once a year. The only reason it happens is because the computer thinks a ride stop failed. It happened the other day because facilities screwed up.

Watch your language as we need the fact not disgusting argot. What happens on other boards stays there and if someone got banned from my site and came back 5 minutes later he would get an name ban, email address ban then an IP ban. Site owner rules and you do not go against the grain so to speak. You do not tell the Brand X Boards that they are wrong about the way the view Disney and the parks. That is the way things are done on the internet as well as in real life.

As a CM you who is on stage you are a target of every idiot in town with a camera. They can do it and do it. Live with it as it is part of a sick game of some people. For some reason people have to report on every bad detail of a park such as derailments, accidents, e stops, evacuations, rude behavior, rule breaking, etc. They are out there to be the first person to repost such stuff and to be the first to report it accurately.

Face the fact that you pissed of a group of people who feel it is their God given right and duty to report every detail of Disney and other parks. I got harrassed by a group of passholders who thought it was their duty to harrass other guests who pin traded and told other traders about their lying, cheating and stealing. I never was a CM but have dealt with the wrath of pissed of people in parks and you do not want to piss of certain people who can come to your job site and harrass you openly while not paying any penalties for doing so.

In the future could you sit 20 feet from me as I do not want to get hit in the cross fire. That was a joke and I am in a lot of pain, sorry.

First, welcome DanC!!! :welcome: We love hearing SG stories, and I know that as a cast member you must have a ton of them.

Second, Churchy's right -- all boards have rules, including this one. You might want to review them, particularly #4, discouraging excess profanity and prohibiting using it to attack others, and #5 about bashing groups of individuals. Not to say you can't make fun of others -- what would this site be without that??? :D: -- but your post just came across a little harshly.

Hope you stick around and share some great stories!

You did those 2 Grad Nites back to back also? Those were tough. :grim: Don't think I've been so tired since the summer of the 50th. I was at Pio for one of those Grad Nites. One of the very worst stores during Grad & Theft Nites. We were hit so hard by those little silver spooned jerks. :hammer: The other shifts I had were Mad Hatter & Emporium. Don't you just love those split shifts on our slammed nights? Some never realize the great amount of pressure we are under when working with grads & their useless chaperones. I'm fine until abt 5 a.m. & it hits me I need to close, have breakfast, wait for the shuttle which takes too long, & fight the traffic home - then do this all over again in abt 9 hrs. :banghead: Maybe I can commiserate because these Grad Nites seemed especially draining. They drove me to swear. All my patients with others swirled down the drain. I'm not condoning your words, but I'm the last to condem you cuz I did walk in your back to back shift shoes. Was a bitter week for all of us who braved the these shifts for pennies. :soap:

I would not want this to turn into a pissing match between boards. I refuse to help any micechatters I see at the park and that is as far as it goes. I am easy going guy, just ask anyone that knows me. If you want me to edit my post thats fine.

Yeah ANYBODY WORK THE LAST GRADNITE 6/22? What a horrible group of kids, breaking lights in the cue, swinging off ropes like tarzan. Uncliping all of our ropes in the digs. Throwing our poles in the planters, smoking up behind temple, the list goes on.

I can cuss as well as any man here probably despite my name.

It is a well known fact here that this site has a mentality of a person who works with the public, who serves people, and who deals with people who are SGs. Even those of us who have not worked in a park can relate to that mentality in someway such as bank tellers, waitresses, store clerks, and even as customers. The people here see things differently than the Brand X Boards. A ride is 101, so what, it happens everyday. A ride e stopped, big deal, it happens every week or day.

Some people at the other boards will make a vendetta and go after people but it is a small group of trouble makers and they do not represent those boards. There is no war here. This board laughs at their antics or ignores them. I saw people here laughing at someone at another board who flipped out and was so eager to post the latest info on an attempted petty theft in the park. Most of us know that on their boards we must act like SGs and Passholders. It is their land so we obey their rules even if we think they are silly ninnies.

You know I was evaced off indy back in 2001 as a guest. Yeah I thought it was cool but I didnt take any pictures or ask stupid questions. I love mechanical devices and figuring out how stuff works, Indy is great because it always challenges me to learn something new. I think it is disrespectful for a guest to come into to MY temple and take pictures after I ask them not to and them post them on a forum.

You do have a point, sometimes it seems indy is 101 more hours a day than it is 104. It is an everyday occurence but does not warrant the attitude of those people. It seems that if you don't fit their narrow mold then they just ban you.

P.S. How can I find any oldschool indy folks on here? I have some specific questions about procedures and things that are no longer in use.
