Of course, when I say "beautiful bus", I don my best Australian Accent.

Are you offering to buy me one?

Actually, I would love to try the thing out. After eight years of the engine revving when I press the accelerator, I wonder how weird it would seem the first time you accelerate and continue to idle.

Sure, what size and colour would you like. I would think that it would be just like any other bus. You want to play with the new toy, don't you Wallaby.

Don't expect to see the hybrid :bus: permanently anytime soon. It's got two problems as far as WDW is concerned.

1) It won't fit under the monorail beam at MK
2) $$$$$$$$$

It's 3 X the price of a normal Gillig :dropmouth A WDW Gillig is $300K,The as tested demonstrator is $ 1M. Thats a lot of diesel fuel!

Wow that is a lot of money for one bus. As for getting under the monorail have they tried letting the air out of the tires? I was watching King of Queens and Doug scraped his way through a drive through restaurant.

Oh well and another good thing down the golden Disney Drain.

Anyone know if Disney has ever considered going CNG rather than diesel?

Also, I was wondering what kind of bus the ones with the REALLY low floor are... the wheelchair system is more of a ramp than a lift. Those are some nice buses. (From a passenger perspective)

Disney has and continues to experiment with different fuels although I don't believe that CNG is one of them. The cost to convert and the investment in infrastructure may not make CNG a viable alternative.

The Low Floor buses are either Nova's or Gillig's. The Nova's are built by Prevost of Canada and can be spotted by the round headlights and the AC unit on the roof. The Gillig's are made by Gillig Corp in CA and are the boxy ones. Wallaby's avitar is a Nova and Mine is a Gillig.

Ah, it was the Nova I was thinking of then.

Am I correct that Snow White == Donald Duck == Mickey Mouse on the marquees? (i.e., out of service)

Yes, they all mean the same. Also you will find Simba and Minnie Mouse too.

I like the Nova best of all but I don't think we will see any more new ones. The Gillig seems to be the new bus of choice. While I don't dislike the Gillig, I would rather drive the Nova.
