Waht am I, a city bus or something?

Post by Cranbiz » Mon Jun 04, 2007 4:16 am

Tonight I had a strange one. A husband / Wife SG team. I pick them up at the Swan going back to MK. When I get to MK the bus empties, except for them. I see them move up to the front and go to myself "OK wrong bus"

I ask them where they are trying to get to. HE goes, Oh, nowhere.

Now I'm confused, I have a great spiel but it's not good enough to stay with me all night. I go Ok and let them stay.

Now I load up for AKL and head out. About the tollbooth for AK he asks " Am I going near Circe de Sole" I say no, going to AKL and then back to MK.

So I get to AKL and go back to talk to them. I ask if they were trying to get to Circe, they both say that they wanted to look around there. So I tell them that they need a DTD bus and there is one right behind me. Now they think about it and the DTD bus leaves.

Now they have decided that they want to go back to the Swan and can they go from here? NO, you need to go to an open park and transfer there. You can wait here for an Epcot bus, A DTD bus od ride to MK with me. He goes, you are not going back to the Swan? I texplian to him that we do not run assigned routes and that I may not go to the Swan again tonight (and I didn't either) I'll request the Swan route but if my bus is needed for another resort, I can't take you home. Now he wants me to drop them off at LZ 7 if I'm not going back. I say no, I am REQUIRED to drop you in a loadzone, I can't just open the doors near LZ 7 and let you off. Now he's looking very confused and wife starts in on him. I tell her that I'm not a mindreader and If you had said something back at MK, you would have been to DTD by now or back at your resort. That shut her up.

Finally get back to MK after a whole load of SG's who try to get on thru the back door because I was loading a chair (with a really cool lady in it).

God, can't you wait 5 minutes while I load this poor woman! She was great, I was the one pissed.

OK, back to the story, I get assigned LZ 10 and they finally get off and I point them to LZ 7.

My chair lady politely asks how to get to the BC after they are finished in the park and writes down the LZ when I tell her. I'll bet that they were on the correct bus at closing time!

(from the Talking Heads)
"We're on a road to nowhere, come on inside
Taking that ride to nowhere, we'll take that ride
Feeling okay this morning, and you know
We're on a road to paradise, here we go, here we go"
Sorry but this line immidiately came to mind...these SG just wanted to take a ride to nowhere with ya! lol If your speil is that good, I hope I get your bus when I'm there :D:

I can see riding the Monorail, mainly because out here its a "ride" first then transportation and I love the Monorail. Still, I try to use it at WDW for what its ment for, transportation, but the bus? Maybe Disney should offer car tours of the property, or a tram ride like the back lot tour.

Cranbiz you done ruined another SG myth. I thought them were big limos to take us where ever we want to go.

In Los Angeles I would ride busses just to see sites. A lot of people assume, via dem boards, that the busses run on routes not as needed. The busses are advertised as being on routes such as CS to MK. I always thought the busses ran in continuous patterns and never knew that if I got on at one spot that the bus might not go back there.

For me it would be a great idea to get on a bus and ride it in a loop so that I could scope out the area without dealing with SGs. It is hard enough to drive let alone take in the scenery.

Are you sure you are not an animatron as that is what I have heard on the internet.

Hugs CranBiz.

Takes off SG hat.

Wow I can see clearly now.

Of course we're not animatronic.

Wait, what am I doing on this bus two hours after clocking out? Why are my hands somehow connected to the steering wheel? And what are these tubes full of liquid coming out of my back?

Sorry Churchy.

Of course we will take you wherever the sign says. However, It's your responsibility to get off the big white limo and look at the sign at the end of each run to make sure we are going where you want.

No, I'm not an audioanamitronic. Hugs back.

Oh wait a minute while I check my hydraulic pressure to make sure that I don't crush you. :p:

Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? :D:
