Just send someone to fix two burnt out light bulbs. That and a tub of popcorn from the parks. I will later spend more time on this and can use my roboform note pad to organize this list.

I've seen MF used several times. Is it anything other than the obvious? (I.e., m-----f---er?) In some places, that meaning didn't seem to fit, or I was just reading things wrong.

I'm not trying to be rude or flame you in any way.

These acronyms/codes/signals are what we use at work. It's a natural extension of our language and the intended audience of these posts understand exactly what we are saying.

It's not a "stop and smell the roses" or a "too busy" thing. It's like 2 or more CM's (cast members) talking at break. I would talk to Wallaby the same way I'm writing. Why you ask, because we do the same job and these "shorthand type" codes are some of what we do. It's natural for us to talk/type this was because we use these all the time.

So thats why. It's not meant to confuse. When you get right down to it, it's not 2 pages of acronyms, it's 2 pages of posts about different acronyms with many of us posting to be helpful. If you combine the posts and add the additional explainations it's about a page. I don't see many of us changing our writing styles, maybe a sticky with all of the acronyms would be helpful to those not in the know.

I don't take it wrong, and I thank you for your reply. What you all say makes sense and I really don't wan't to change your writing habits. I'll just print up my "cheat sheets" and do my best. Again, thanks for the halp. Chuck...

MF is most often used as a cuss word but there are acronyms for it.

MF
Millenium Force A roller coaster
Monday Friday As in he will work MF, Monday through Friday.
Mickey Fanatics is an online board of some sort.
MickeyFest a combined affair of a short cruise and one day at each park that happens once a year. http://www.mousefest.org/
Maintanence Fees This is for the Disney Vacation Club

Next time you should post and ask them.

SWMBO is a cute term for a spouse as in Someone Who Must Be Obeyed,

And that would be the context my original meaning didn't work in. Never thought of me first. :) Thanks!

My computer died and I lost about 15 years of genealogy and at least 3 years of sweepstakes information. I am trained in research after all them years. I gave you what you asked for MF, next time try MF, MF. Wow I got me an SG in SGT. It frustrates me when I help someone online and they are not specific.

The following scene reminds me of this MF, MF search.
SG: Where is the sea?
CM points east: An hour drive that way.
SG: I mean the land.
CM points to The Land: That way.
SG: No I mean THE Living place.
CM: Which hotel are you staying at?
SG waps CM: You masher, I am not that type of woman.
Second CM: Can I help you?
SG: I want to go to the Living place.
Second CM points to The Land: Living With the Land is in The Land Pavillion over there.
SG: You idiots don't you know the land where there are fishes?
Second CM: They serve fish at the Garden Grille in The Land.
SG takes out a map and points to The Living Seas, stabbing map with her finger: THERE!
Second CM: That is right behind you but it is closed for refurbishments for two weeks.
SG waps Second CM with her map then her purse.

Sorry to be an SG right here on SGT. Having seen it only once, I thought it might have been repeated due to the CM's frustration, and thus, the acronym was only a single "MF".

As a researcher I seem to never get used to SGs. I would spend hours researching then when I finally got a bit of information then and only then would they tell me details that would have saved me countlesss hours of work.

Not mad at you. People do make stuff up so it might have been that they made the acronym up. Who knows.
