Hey, I was a Ritalin kid... don't knock the disease, knock the doctors who put every kid who doesn't sit still all the time on it.

Anyway... moving on. We just got our fastpass update complete. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new machines. The ticket style is like that of Disneyland, with more information printed on it. It has the Day, Date, and Month printed clearly at the bottom, making it much faster to tell if someone is trying to use 2 month old passes. The fastpasses also have the ticket number printed on them so you can tell which fastpass goes with what ticket. The printers didn't jam once all day! When the new system is up property wide it will mean that all the fastpass machines are networked. Example, you will no longer be able to get a fastpass at MGM and Epcot at the same time. I am thrilled! If we must have fastpass, then at least they are starting to make it a little simpler. Good Luck Everest. You're next. The week when the machines are down is hell, but it is so so worth it! :D:

Am I going to have to be retrained on FP when I pick up a shift at KSR? (apparently, I'm already going to have to be retrained on spiel, or alternatively, mute Wilson, which I have no problem doing. (I loved opening Safari 8 every day back when it had no Wilson ... whoever had to bump me for my first break of the day always hated it though))

C'mon...you know 40 minutes is torture!!! Especially when they only allocated 10am-10:35 am to ride the Safari!! They have to be ready to walk to Everest (10:35-10:38) and be done in time for lunch (11:10-11:24). :p:

If I EVER have a schedule that rigid, please run me over with one of the trucks.

And I was curious about something.....a poster said it was wrong for the CM to print the FP's and toss them. Why? Because they would not be available for people?

Can you explain to me then why it is okay for you to get FP's you would not use (said you scrap them)?? That is also taking them away from other guests. If everyone who scraps their trips did that..... :D:

Scrappers could always get a valid one for riding and then feed their ticket in again for "you don't get two, idiot" printout. Same size and decorative top. You would not believe the people who try that, and then ask a CM what the non-valid one means. Just once I want a CM to say "You now have thirty minutes to collect fastpasses from all the machines in the park or you admission ticket will be declared null and void! Go, quickly, before your ticket explodes!"

I would like to see that.

This FP will self-destruct in 5, 4, 3, 2...

Just as an aside, do you have any idea when that will be? We're going just after Memorial Day and I think it will affect whether we ride it just once or get a chance to do it twice. Thanks. :D:

Thursday, May 10, 2007; Big Thunder Mountain FP Distribution:

Hubby and I are in two different FP lines, each getting our FPs for BTMR. Hubby decided to get out of his line into another when the family in front of him can't seem to get their Fast Passes. The CM comes over to find out if something is wrong with the machine. The problem?

The family was trying to use their Universal tickets to get BTMR FPs. :duh:

Never thought I'd actually see that. :D:

I have to wonder what a collection of these invalid FastPasses would bring on Ebay...
