wow. as a wheelchair family, i promise you we would have supported your actions 100%. there's no way we would want you to take one on the chin, gut, whatever for us.
How can anything be that important? I know one can lose one's temper when one is tired, but this is ridiculous.
I'm sorry those people ruined your day - but congrats on getting them totally busted!!
As for us? Today - MGM 50s' Prime Time for lunch in about an hour - then Lights, Motors, Action around 5 or 6 or something. It will be there I remember the great story about the Make A Wish Family. If any stroller folks try to zap us there, I'll innocently trip someone... :p:
We had a great time at AK yesterday. A fantastic CM helped us at Lion King and got us in at the last minute. Wow, what a show - Kevin loved it.
ALSO - for the first time EVER Kevin rode Expedition Everest. He loved it. LOVED IT!!!!!
I love WDW.

Okay, let me get this straight. You work at the Magic Kingdom -- with guests -- and you can still say this? What are you, new or something?!?joanna71985 wrote:Wow. That is horrible. I can't believe guests would act that way.

And if you have a 1-year pin and can still ask that question, can you connect me with your drug supplier? Looks like it's good stuff! ;)

Nah Zazu. The sad part is I can believe it.
But I try to hope that humanity will prove me wrong sometimes. I guess not.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Even I as a guest for over 45 years to carnivals, amusement parks, zoos, and other public area can stand here and not believe people would act that way. I know that it does happen but still cannot believe it happens. I know that those people will do the same rude things in the grocery store, bank, airport or restaurant but cannot believe that people would act that way. It is a form of denial of something hideous that exist but we do not want to exist.

If it had been my kid I'd have said 'Throw him in a Chinese jail till you come back, I'm not paying for it.' That'd teach him a lesson.dudspizza wrote:Here is a good one for you all. A teacher friend of mine just returned from China where she chaperoned a H.S. band trip. Once particular genius was obnoxious and beligerant to everyone.... they warned him once... the second time he broke the rules (caught smoking at the Great Wall of China!) HE WAS SENT HOME at his parents expense. We are talking thousands of dollars for last minute airfare, transportation, and more. It was all in the agreement the parents signed. She said the kid was cocky until he left...... I would have loved to be a little bird on that wall when he got home... though, with that attitude nothing probably happened... in my house the kid would have gotten a whooooooopin!
Take care and way to handle a tough situation, Dylan!

Man!! As a guest, I believe it -- and would have stood with you as well! Last summer at the Carousel, a guest (a father) started something with the CM. The poor CM ... my DH was waiting at the exit with my kids, which is where a lot of the altercation took place. That father got right up in the CM's face. My dh really thought he was going to attack the cm (a young guy). The CM stayed firm, yet amazingly calm, stating what rule the father was trying to break, and that it was for guest safety. He didn't back down, but didn't lose his cool, either. Completely professional, great because of all the small children around! My dh stood right with him. Another CM came around, and called security. The father bolted. When security came, the CM spoke with them, and so did my dh. Then dh asked to talk to the CM's manager. He told the manager how the CM handled the situation maturely, professionally, and admirably.
The things poor CMs have to put up with sometimes! I just hope you all don't let it truly sour you. You are a huge part of the magic, to us and to our children...many of us truly do appreciate!

When some CMs are under pressure, there are times when they are forced to gather enough inner strength to save themselves and others (especially children) from SGs that could bring harm in any way. This particular CM must be commended for his actions. With the general outside world (especially outside the WDW) getting more rough every day, he seems to be ready to take on what may come in his future so far.

It's the guests becoming rude more and more often. . .
When security is calling on the Gangsters of GMR to enstill some sort of order by just appearing. . . Yeah, it's the guests.
*Not really, but here's hoping with Grad Nights coming.
Rude? Wait until GNs come around. . .
