Temporary living near DLR?

Hey! I just wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations for temporary housing around Disneyland.

I did the wdwcp last year, but had to leave abruptly due to health reasons. I'm doing a lot better now and really want to get back on with the company, at least seasonally. I live about seven hours away from Anaheim, and as far as I understand they want you out there for two or three months before you can just pick up shifts when you're around.. so I don't want to move out there, just stay for a couple of months.

My fiance and I are planning to move to Orlando as soon as he can get transferred.. but it will probably be at least a year, and I would really like to at least have a "foot in the door" at Disney for when I graduate from college. Any advice would be appreciated! thanks guys!

I hope you have a pretty good sized nest egg, because it's very expensive to live in O.C. Our old apartment complex, Oaktree Court in Placentia, was charging around $1400 a month for a 2 bedroom/2 bath when we moved out 4 years ago. I know they have smaller units that are furnished, but with inflation and all, the price may be the same now. I know that motels near the resort have long term rentals (places along Harbor, Katella, Brookhurst, Euclid and the other major streets around the parks) but I'm unaware of prices. Sorry I can't do much better - we bought in old town Fullerton (about a 20 minute drive) and I'm not sure what the rental prices are up to these days. I know the duplexes and fourplexis around here are going for $700,000 and up in sale prices, which means that the rents would have to be pretty high for the new owners to recoup their investment. I see tenants moving out whenever another rental property switches hands around here.

I had no trouble finding a ton of options through craigslist, but that was for sharing a place. I did really well by posting in the housing wanted section making it clear I was a Disney CM looking for affordable housing- I got a few contacts from people who were willing to rent me a room for less than they would've asked otherwise, and who were in far better locations than the few ads up in the rooms section.

Of course the first place I lived was just bizarre, with one really crazy roommate and some weird drama going on between the other couple, but 2nd time was the charm. :)
