"You Know What They Used To Have...."

Post by DLRFantasmic!Dan » Sat Mar 24, 2007 9:00 pm

I over heard this today:

"You know what they used to have: horses that pull the trolleys"

Me, thinking, "Yeah, last time I checked, it's still here!"

Anyone got any similar stories like this?

I'm not a CM, but this was an actual conversation with a neighbor of mine (we live right by Disney World):

"I like that thing that goes over all those places. There's New York and Florida...."

"You mean Soarin'. It actually just goes over California."

"No, no, I mean the one where you hang glide over New York and Florida..."

"No, I promise you, it's just California. The one at Epcot called Soarin'."

"Yes, but it goes over Florida. It has the orange groves and Disney World."

"Those are CALIFORNIA orange groves, and that's Disneyland. I PROMISE you it's California. The exact same ride is at Disneyland, and it is called Soarin' Over CALIFORNIA there!"

"Yes, but I mean the one that's at Epcot, that goes over New York and Florida..."

ARGHHHHH!!!!

I got one of these yesterday. Not Disney but,

I was wearing my Bates Motel shirt and some guy said "Oh yeah, I remember that place. It was gone for a long time but it got moved back."

When I tried to say something about it not being moved, he swore he saw "somebody" move it.

Ummm, huh? As long as I can think back, the house has always been there. Which was the pic on my shirt...

My question I wanted to ask was, "Did David Copperfield move it on a special you saw on TV or what?"

I haven't seen it but if the illusions make use of twins to make something impossible look possible then yes.

"Where's the Hall of Presidents?"
"It's in Liberty Square."
"It's not here in Main Street?"
"No, it's in Liberty Square."
"Oh, because it used to be here."

SG: You know you used to have that water slide?
CM: You mean Splash Mt? thats actually a log flume.
SG: No, no... water slide *does hand movements to symbolize splashing*
CM: well, we dont have any water slides in the Magic Kingdom, but we have some in the water parks like Blizard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon--
SG: No! Its a water slide! You lie down on a big hill and splash!
CM: Well the only ride that splashes in the Magic Kingdom is splash mt.
SG: Thats not it.
CM: Was it a big red mountain with a splash at the bottom?
SG: Yeah! thats it!
CM: Yeah, thats Splash Mountain. Its in Frontierland.
