At one time we had more room to play with the 4 people up front policy. where it comes from is the weight limit of the cab. It would only support the weight limit of 4 adults. So if there were 3 children, and 2 adults, then they were allowed to ride with the driver. The change to only four happened when about 8 years ago, a family tried to sue us over the cab policy. You see, it was one of those times that we had 5 up there (with three children) The family of 5 exited at the Grand Floridian, and 5 adults tried to enter the cab. We tried to explain the weight limit part of the policy, and they went off. They were from a different ethical background and immediately screamed that we were being un just. So because of that lawsuit, which the company won BTW. The policy was changed to ONLY four. This includes even if they are in a carrier. If they breathe they count. Some of us will occasionally sneak a small one up there. But it is rare and now against company policy.

I hope that this explains why that change
Terry

Seriously though, 4 adults and two 2-year olds work out? We're planning a trip to the World this year with some friends (details on a trip to SoCal is also in the works) and I'm just curious.

Only four even if they are a carrier 4 is the magic #. We will not accept even an infant more

It's really sad when a lawsuit creates company policy. :(

Thank you for the explanation. It did not make sense until you explained it. Also a shame that people will use their ethnicity, race or religion as grounds for a lawsuit when the lawsuit is over nothing.

I'll ask anyway, and when they refuse, I'll sue Disney because there were 6 people in our group. Yes, it makes perfect sense...

Sure, the lawsuit could go like this:

I am learning disabled in the mathematical realm (friggin' math makes my brain hurt). Therefore, I cannot comprehend the concept of 4 vs. 6, which also plays into my rage and anxiety disorders, as well as damaging my ego since I cannot understand the concrete reasons for the refusal and therefore I have no choice but to take it as a personal attack. Thus, I will sue for discrimination and flagrant violation of the ADA, as well as emotional distress.

I have disabilities, fat, female, hispanic descent, ugly and mental impairments. In a october I am 50 then I be a senior citizen and woot you better not mess with me. Are you saying that them 5 people are skinnier than me?

Now to get 4 hefty mommmas to test the weight limitations of the cab. If you let on 4 people weighing over 400 lbs. then we see if that is the real reason.

boy are we going into left field and clear out to the boondocks.

YES! That is perfect, sure you're not a lawyer too?
