Figured I'd register, say hello and what have you. Not a CM, but I'm forever looking out for them at Disneyland. I have a strong pet peeve against evil guests.
Anyway, I'm theEpiphany (Damien if you know me personally). A friend of mine from the Disneyland Gallery dropped me the link. Seeing as it goes with most of my gripes about Disneyland (the guests), I figured I'd give a stop by. So far I'm really digging the place and think it's great that CMs have a corner of the web to themselves. There's already enough sites bitching about the evils and wrongs of Disney.
I frequent the parks on a weekly basis for one reason or another, mostly there with the GF and the rest of the crowd (Mainly a bunch of us from Doombuggies.com hang out). So chances are I've run into or even know some of you already.
In fact being that this is a seemingly fortuitous circumstance, I'm sure I can use this site as research for an article I'm writing...Based off of a continuation from a 3 page thought I e-mailed to miceage.com / Al Lutz. He published it, then promptly shot me down. Apparently I had a point since a crapload of CMs were (seemingly) in agreement with me.
anyways enough ramblings out of me.
Glad to be here.
See you at the Parks. (maybe)

Basically...
Basically it was a heated rant based off of some ridiculous Lutz-followers that were treating CMs like crap and basically inflating their penile inadequacies publically. So I fired back about the changes of park guest behavior over the years (Which will be the substance for the article I'm writing for my own site now)
Unfortunately it's not the best thing I've ever written but apparently it did the job anyway.
Damn...The article itself dropped off of miceages' archives. I dont read Miceage.com anymore.
Following Week's replies from CMs Scroll about halfway down or do a search for "Damien"

Ditto. One of my distant cousins went to Disney once this last summer, and she spent more time looking for things to complain about than she did actually having fun. Instead of taking her kids on the ride, she was more interested in complaining about everything and saying how she wanted to leave. I was just like... then why don't you go home, it's not like Disney's going to send a police force after you and drag you back. :roll:Polar33 wrote:My philosophy is that you go to Disneyland to have fun. If you're not having fun then leave, let those that are actually there to have fun have the fun. Maybe when you are ready to have fun you can come back and join the rest of us.
I just try to think of all the times when guests have gotten upset with me and either myself, another CM, a lead, or a manager either backed me up, or even told the guest off. That just makes it rewarding in a way... and NOTHING can beat the time when this old 70+ year old guy started cussing out my manager, because he was "here the other day and they did free refills" so apparently neither myself or the manager knew what we were doing, and you know back in his day "drinks were only 10 cents..." lol
God must love stupid people. He made so many of them.
