Death At Discovery Cove

Post by tacoboy » Mon Oct 16, 2006 3:46 pm

I just picked this up off thrill network

Posted at 8:39 PM EDT (0039 GMT)

Oct. 15th, 2006 -- An elderly woman visiting Discovery Cove was rushed to the hospital after experiencing difficulties breathing and died later that week.

On Thursday, October 12th, a 76-year old woman was in one of the park's lagoons when she reported she was having difficulty breathing. Lifeguards immediately removed her from the water and began CPR when she passed out.
The woman was then transported to Sand Lake Hospital where she later passed away the next day on October 13th.

According to Sea World Discovery Cove's officials, the elderly woman had a pre-existing medical condition, and that no animals or foul play were connected with her death.

"No. Walt Disney, maybe, but that's about it."

It's strange, people pass away every day. But when they pass away at a high profile place it's big news.
Don't get me wrong,I feel for her and her family. :( I really do,I have no grand parents left. We found out my grandma died "2" yrs after she was gone(thanks uncle Ed).

So wait. . .

Death at Disney: OH **** DID YOU HEAR?! SOMEONE DIED AT DISNEY!

Death at Sea World:

Or is it I happened to miss that between the news of the plane landing on 1-4 and the 24th cat this week that was stuck in a tree?

I heard about those cats! So sad man! Prisioners in those nasty trees....
A plane landed on I-4? Didnt hear about this one...
I bet the family of the person that died at discovery cove will sue. Everyone that dies in a park ends up sueing at some point or another even if they state they know the park was not at fault. I wonder who puts those large, 8 figure numbers, into their heads...

[Most of this post has been satire. I seem to have problems getting comedy across on the internet. Must be my lack of emoticons.]

Ive seen contests before where people can actually use only emoticons to form sentences.
(I probably broke the site with this post. Appoligies.)

Death is a fact of life. Here on Maui we probably average two unattended deaths per week. Mostly heart attacks and usually in the ocean except for the drunk cheerleader that fell from a 10th story balcony. It seems like middle aged men who haven't had any physical activity in years suddenly want to revisit their youth by swimming a mile.

There's enough tourist deaths that the police department has one officer assigned full time to assist the relatives.

Cruise ships, with their older demographic passengers, also have a number of unattended deaths. They know it'll happen and are set up to store the bodies until they reach port.

Nah probably just calls them "Thingy dingys" or "Whatchamacallits"
Actually I broke the site with my welcome series of emoticons. If you put a space between emoticons or long spam like "zzzzzzzzz" then you will not have a problem.
