Haha. I would start to count. I used to get up on my tip toes and start counting heads out loud...or just mumble as if I was adding them together. Then I would lower myself, turn to the guest and say "I have no clue."

Our managers usually give us projected guest numbers in the morning... so if a Guest asks me "How many people are here today?" I can reply "Oh, about XXX... give or take a few hundred."americawestguy wrote:this i think was one my least favorite questions i got asked. how many people are here today or how many people can disneyland hold?

"How many can you hold?"
"Well, over 80,000, but it's no fun. Come here on July 4 or Christmas and you'll see what I mean."

Re: how many people are here today?
Technically it could easily hold 100,000 if you were to have them shoulder to shoulder everywhere including back stage. With some good swimmers in Rivers of America and someone sitting on the top of the Matterhorn, well that would give you another 100 people or so.
The question to me is like "How many people can the hotel room hold?" and I would say 50 or 60 and if you put a couple people under the beds that would be even more.

Yes, custodial is always asked these questions. :( I looked at the custodial grease board before going on stage. Managers were very good at keeping #s updated. Stores doesn't usually post this info & I miss the stats. My response to "How many people can DisneyLand hold?" Shrug & say abt 86k, & you don't want to be here then.americawestguy wrote:this i think was one my least favorite questions i got asked. how many people are here today or how many people can disneyland hold?

Kinda reminds me of a variation of an old army joke I used to use on people:
Guest: How many people work here?
Me: About half.

"Let's find out. One, two, thrrree ... (bite guests head off) ... Thrrree!"

"It depends. If they don't weigh that much, I might be able to hold one person for a few minutes. If it's a kid, and I can put them on my shoulder, probably for a few hours."ThunderCat wrote:Our managers usually give us projected guest numbers in the morning... so if a Guest asks me "How many people are here today?"
