Probably a Stupid Question worthy of a Stupid Guest Sign [WDW Guide Maps]

Post by ponytreegirl » Sun Aug 06, 2006 10:41 pm

I am not sure where to ask this, but figured if anyone would know the answer, you fine folks would!

I was wondering if there is any way to get copies of the current [WDW] guide maps?

The reason I am asking is that we had our old ones up on our 5 year old's wall. They were from the trip we took when she was 4. They have survived all this time with not even a small tear!

ANyway, tonight, her 2 year old sister was mad at her and tore them down, tore them apart. They are, as you can imagine, ruined.

I was wondering if there was any way to get Disney to send me the current guide maps so I could laminate them somehow and get them, back up for her (and make them sister proof!)

Thanks so much! Any advice would be appreciated. The expression on my daughter's face when we found the mess with her sister sitting in the middle... well, it just broke my heart.

I would suggest calling the Guest Relations department (ask for them from the switchboard number), and having them mail them. Considering the parks go through thousands of them on a daily basis, I don't think it would be a problem to send the ones that everyone takes at the turnstyles... Now if you're talking about a nice, big souvinir type map, try the mail-order department through the Merchandise department (if they're still around - shades of the 80's, when I'd take the occassional phone call in the office for mail order).

The main # I have for WDW is 407.824.2222. From this # your call will be transferred to the dept. you request. Zazu would be your gold mine in this area. PM him.

Thank you both so much. Zazu did indeed have an answer for me. :)

And yes, I just meant the ones at the turnstiles. She likes to look at them and remember all the things we saw. I sometimes catch her in there with our photo album, looking at the pictures and then finding the places on the map. I think she is planning for our trip in 2009!

If you want one from the left coast, I'll be happy to get you a couple (one for each munchkin). ;)
