"Misguided Tours", eh.....sounds like that could be fun. :)Zazu wrote:And if you have any doubt, you could always take one of my "Misguided Tours". It's all about the little things one tends not to notice. And for fellow SGTers, the number of possible stories told goes up dramaticly!

A child's smile & an adult guest's "Thank You" during a shift are definite rewards to all CMs. :)ponytreegirl wrote: My daughter could not believe it and it so touched me that I walked back to the room sniffling. Such silly little things bring so much joy to a child. I bet THAT is why you all work there, even if you have to put up with all of us. :)

It's ok, we don't hand out that title. We normally just focus on handing on the yellow sign that says "I'm Stupid" if you ask a stupid question at the parks.
. . .Which reminds me, I need to restock my signs.

I agree with the other CMs on here. I don't work at Disney for the money. I work here because I love what I do. I love making people happy. I love my job. I've always known I wanted to work here, and hearing the stories from guests makes me very happy.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

I also would like to express my deep appreciation for the work all you CM's do. It is surely noticed & appreciated by me and my family.
On our last visit to WDW in March, we decided on our last full day to go to MK instead of Typhoon Lagoon (it felt too cool that morning). My boys weren't thrilled, but they got over pretty quick as soon as we got on the boat to the MK from the Poly.
We had decided that we would go to ToonTown Fair because we had never been there. So on arrival at the MK, we got on the train and headed to ToonTown:

We waited patiently for the rope drop, and the kids made a beeline for Minnie at her house, where we also saw Donald & Pluto.

So, imagine our surprise when all of a sudden Minnie had grabbed my 8yo daughter's hand; Donald had grabbed the hand of my 6yo son and Pluto had taken to escort my 10yo son into Minnie's house, where the kids (and us parents) got a personal tour of her house from Minnie herself!

Minnie even took us to the front of the line at the Hall of Fame (?) for the pictures with her, Donald and Goofy. The below video is what I put together for the kids. I was so surprised by the whole turn of events, I had to act fast to get my camera switched over the video to record the events. (Click on the black movie film clip below to play it.)

Thank you to the CMs who sprinkled this big bucket of Pixie Dust on us that morning. I'm still in awe of it, and it brings tears to my eyes every time I reflect on that morning. It meant a lot not only to my children, but to me and my husband as well. It truly made our vacation that more magical. My husband was so overcome by this, his eyes were wide open like a child's and I thought he was going to cry! As we left and it sunk in what had just happened, we looked at each other and said, "Ohmygosh that SOOOO rocked!!"
Thank you so much. It's CM's like you who make us want to return to Disney and experience the Magic again.
