Not all that dumb a question, really. Not all places at Disneyalnd take them. As far as I know, it's only the ODV carts, but still...

It is when you're standing at the registers, and there's a decal with the Visa logo right there... ;)

My answer? "Not according to my wife."
I got something similar to that the other day. I was working in Tower and watching one of my cast members for a moment, but apparently I hadn't moved much, if at all, and a large group of guests were coming off the attraction. I decided to move when a lady passed me, and she about had a heart attack.

She looks straight at me and goes, "I thought you were fake!"

I guess a name tag, area costume, and a working radio weren't enough to clue her in.

I used to do that all the time in Studio C.

I wouldn't move much after the spiel and since it was dark, many believed me to be an AA. When the last few people walked in, many that would stand right next to me would ask others in their party if Im real. I would normally just move my eyes in the AA fashion or not at all (And I can go a while without blinking so it confused them even more).

Many times, I wouldn't have to do anything to scare the people. . .Just standing there not moving was enough.

Course now Im at GMR and it doesn't really work anymore because of how animated I am (Which is apparently enough to make one of the gangsters nearly mess up her show. Caught her trying not to laugh at the movements I was making).

This certainly doesn't sound like you! I've never ever seen you stand still very long On Stage. You're always up to something ]

AFI Showcase Shop

This was a friend of mine... I so wish I could have seen this..

My friend J watches a female Guest in her teens look around the store at the props located above the display shelves. The Guest then goes up to a CM and asks what the film reel canisters contain. The CM replies, Nothing, they are props, blah blah. So the Guest moves on to another CM and asks the same question. She gets the same answer, fake, props, blah. But then she goes over to J and asks. J's reply? "Oh that? That's where we keep the kittens! They're $10 piece!" The Guest totally bought it and if it hadnt been for her mom overhearing the conversation, the Guest would have really thought that AFI sold kittens... Some people. Anyway- my kudos to J for having such an awesome answer!

This was stupid on both my part and the Guests...

I am driving the very heavy, very sloshy LMA watercart up to YouseGuys today, trying not to hit the LMA rush Guests, and trying not to get struck by lightning.
Male Guest: Excuse me, are you selling those?
Me: -looking straight at him- No Ma'am.
I quickly amended my answer but he didnt seem to notice. His wife laughed though. But did it really look like I was selling the water? No. But at least I understand *his* confusion. Not much excuse for mine. lol

One more- I was over by the entrance/exit of the museum where the Backlot Tour Guests come into AFI when something caught my eye. I looked over just in time to see a Guest *slam* face first into the *corner* of the large plexiglass case over the lifetime achievement award thingy. I mean, he ate the thing. I thought it got him in the eye at first. Then he was holding his mouth. I realized what it was that had caught my eye in the first place, he had been running backwards (or something) and had turned and jumped and that's when he hit it. The case moved and everything. I watched him jerk away from his wife when she got near, then I heard her yelling at him. They both stormed out of the store. I would have asked if he needed first aid but he was super angry and I didnt want to go there. I have no idea why he was horsing around like he was. Guess he'll learn for next time. But it was a sight to see...Yeesh

Up to something or not, when three of my cast members are clumping in a corner and having a personal conversation I've repeatedly told them to put on hold, I have the right to glare in their direction for a time.

SG story for a SG that really needed a sign.

At DisneyQuest Coasters we have everyone take their items out of their pockets and put them in a locker so nothing flies out of their pockets. We then give them a key to wear around the wrist for said locker and I tell them it is the only way into the locker to get their stuff out. I loaded SG and his buddy into the coaster and as the door was closing, noticed something was missing from his wrist.

Me: Sir, where is your key?
SG: Oh, its in my pocket.

Me: Would you please put it back on your wrist.

To that guest: here's your sign.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, the latest entry in the Disney Saga has been postponed.

We apologize for this inconvience, and ask that you check back with us later. If you have any questions, please see a cast member. Thank you for your cooperation and have a stupid free day.
