Even though I no longer work at Knott's (thank God!), if I could, I would transport all irresponsible parents to a special, in-park Family Services building, where they would be shown movies, a la "Red Asphalt" and "Red Asphalt II" (for those of you who don't know, those were very graphic driver's ed movies) of what can happen if you don't follow the ride rules. This would be followed by a stern lecture asking if parents love their kids or not. Wiseasses would go directly to jail. Anyone who insists that they love their kids but persists in not following park rules will be sent for psychiatric evaluation, and if necessary sent to a mental hospital. Their kids then end up as wards of the state. And they will be sent to foster families who will do everything possible to teach kids the importance of obeying rules.

I'm sure the list goes on...
4) The cone won't side with a SG because it doesn't want to deal with the SG.

5) The "new" cone won't want to do things in a way that the old cone also wanted to try, but found that they didn't work well that way, so they went back to the way the CM said would work correctly.

Tell Management to take Workbrain and CDS and shove it up their pie hole.

1. make guests run the entire length of Splash to apologize to each and every person that they stopped the ride because they got out of their log cause they didn't want to go down the big drop or cause intrusions to get out of a boat to take a picture with br'er fox, then stand them at merge point and let the guests yell at them because they caused the lines to stop!
Then tie them up and suspend them over the whirling waters of certain death (Resevoir that I am terrifed of and have to cross to go looking for them wandering around) until park closing!

....Not that this happened today or anything!

Please tell me that getting out of a moving ride vehicle is grounds for being evicted from the park. Seriously, if management tolerates that crap, then I'm seriously even more disappointed than I already was.

Basically it depends on how the guest handles it. I've seen guests get out of Spaceship Earth because they thought it was Mission Space, or because their kid was afraid of the first dark tunnell, or if they dropped something, and management has let it slide. However, if the guest is doing it just to be a jerk, and/or if they are not apologetic about it, and if you have the right manager, those guests will have their tickets voided and get the big boot. :kicknut:

Does the the big boot actually connect to the nuts? Cause that'd be awesome!

Actually, I'm writing today because yesterday I decided: I can and I will...at least in one specific situation:

An Australian couple were upset about a bunch of things that had nothing to do with me. I was almost off shift and I was doing everything in my power (which is considerable at my hotel) to make them happy, discounts were offered, breakfast on us, but while I'm making you happy, you need to know that this DOES NOT MEAN i'm taking ANY responsibility for anything I DID NOT DO OR SAY! And yet after repeatedly clarifying that I had no previous contact with these guests they kept using "You" phrasing. Finally, I explained "Like I've been trying to say, I'll do anything I can to make your stay more pleasant, however I can only do this if you will stop assigning blame for things I clearly have no control over." So the aussie guy blows up and starts bellowing at me. I had been hoping to end the exchange before my relief came in, but he walked in just as the guy starts yelling at me, so I decided: screw it-make my coworker laugh! So in my best Steve Irwin Impression: "Crikey! I've really got these Aussies pissed off now! If I move a little closer, they might try to bite my 'ead off!" Then as me: "Sorry folks, but you argued and complained too long, now I'm going home and you get nothing. Have a beautiful morning!"

The best part for me was my relief saying to them as I was clocking out: "You heard him! Get going!"

Great! Now he's gonna come upstairs with a chip on his shoulder and blame me when the buffalo is too well done. :D:
