"But it says it's good for tickets!"

Okay, this is quite possibly the dumbest guest I can remember. I was working one morning at the DTD ticket booth when this woman walks up to my window and hands me a voucher, saying she wants to redeem it. For those who don't know, vouchers are what travel agencies give their customers to redeem for tickets or whatever as part of their travel package. Sooo, I look at this woman's voucher, and it says it's good for three breakfast vouchers (the one they do at the plaza inn). So, just like the bazillion other times I've processed one of these, I run it through the computer, print the tickets, and hand them to her. I should point out that these tickets are worth about $13 apiece and aren't good for admission, just breakfast once you're in. I say to her "Okay, ma'am, here are your three breakfast vouchers. Have a great time in the park today!" At this point, you'd expect her to say "Thanks," and hope on the monorail, but no. She gives me this really funny look and says "But I don't want breakfast, I need to get into the park." Aha, well, no worries! she must have given me the wrong voucher page. I ask her if she has some more pages to go with the one she gave me, and she says no she was only given the one. Still giving her the benefit of the doubt, I explain that I can't issue her tickets without a voucher, because of The Rules. At this point, she tells me that the voucher I just processed should be good for tickets, and shows me the back of it. Most travel agencies try to be helpful to their customers and print something like the following on the backs of their vouchers:

"Redeem at a ticket booth for admission to the following attractions:
Disneyland Resort
Knott's Berry Farm
Universal Studios"

... and so on. It's something that's pre-printed on the paper and it's on every voucher slip, regardless of what the voucher is actually good for. She had somehow taken it to mean that that meant the voucher was good for tickets, when in fact it was just helpfully trying to tell her where to take it for processing. At this point, she was pretty angry and I was pretty sure that a) this was not her voucher and b) she was just trying to cheat me out of some free or at least discounted tickets. I asked her who had issued her the voucher, and she told me she got it from "your 800 number." RED ALERT! We don't have an 800 number, and the voucher said in quite large letters that it was from "Get Away Today Travel." She demanded to speak to a manager, so I did something that was guaranteed to cause me much amusement. I went and got my lead. For those In The Know, the lead that morning, as it used to be most mornings at DTD, was "Red Dog" (actual name omitted for privacy), a Person Not To Be Messed With, and one of my favorite leads. She tried to explain to the guest pretty much what I had said, at which point the guest asked her "Can you even read?" and indicated the back of the voucher again. More failed explanations, and then she tried to send the guest to Guest Services. Our favorite guest then insisted that they had sent her here in the first place (yeah, right -- why would they send a guest all the way through DTD to the smallest ticket booth?). In an effort to appear helpful but really in an attempt to prove a theory to myself, I called Guest Services to ask if they had accidentally kept one of her pages or something. They said they hadn't sent anyone to DTD, and hadn't processed any vouchers from Get Away Today that morning. By the time I got off the phone, the guest had stormed away. In the end, she forgot her breakfast vouchers at the booth, so she ended up with nothing. All of us in the booth had a good laugh, and so did the 2nd shift people when we told them about it later :)
