Rollerskates, barefeet, no smoking, exits and all that jazz!!
Post your most annoying story of what you've gone through with the following listed above. And here:
Those damn skates kids wear
Barefeet
going under the ropes
crossing over the ropes
and no smoking and exit signs
EMH (extra magic hours) this includes waiting in line and scanning and putting it in the RIGHT HAND ONLY NOT THE LEFT!
Todays lovely comment! BY VANESSA
I work at INNOVENTIONS btw and I go through this hell everyday because I also do character connections, illuminations and tip board.
Vanessa: Excuse me, can you please put your shoes on. It's for the safety of our guest to have their shoes on while walking.
Guest: But I have blisters on my feet
Vanessa: Please put your shoes on
Guest: Fuck you bitch.
Vanessa: you've been warned and have a magical day. =D
Last night during EMH
Guest: Can you please put the band on the left hand, I'm doing a collection of colors on the left
Vanessa: Sorry, it has to be on the right
Guest: Well so and so and magic kingdom and mgm all did it to me in the left
Vanessa: "shaking her hand" HI WELCOME TO EPCOT!! =D
I really really reallly have more to post, but just for now, these will have to do.

Should have stepped on the j-holes foot. Last week a young teen was cruising thru the furniture store i work @ now on those f-in skate things. I 'politely' asked him "not to" ,he folds them up.15 secs later the little "S" is on them again. I would have loved to coldcocked the little fart if i could.

Tell me about it!! I tell them to stop and then they continue when they lose sight of me. I've been recently been telling them to stop and take them off instead of just telling them to stop riding them.

The barefoot thing is what really gets me. Do they even pause to think of what kinds of things fifty thousand guests might drop on the ground in one day?

eeeeeeeewwwwwww, let's not even go there. Makes me cringe to think abt it. Barefoot is far worse than ROA & Book water put together. Just goss!PirateJohn wrote:The barefoot thing is what really gets me. Do they even pause to think of what kinds of things fifty thousand guests might drop on the ground in one day?

i just recently got hired at rainforest cafe and just last night saw at least two guests (one teen one little girl) on those rolelr skates things SKATING IN THE RESTAURAUNT. we were slammed busy and they took it upon themselves to "move faster" by skating. they wouldn't be feeling too well if a server with hot food popped in front of them...

As a PE teacher, they are not allowed in my gym, let alone the school. My amazement is that parents think these things are ok.... you see kids cruising through Target, the mall, everywhere on these things...NikkiGrrl wrote:i just recently got hired at rainforest cafe and just last night saw at least two guests (one teen one little girl) on those rolelr skates things SKATING IN THE RESTAURAUNT. we were slammed busy and they took it upon themselves to "move faster" by skating. they wouldn't be feeling too well if a server with hot food popped in front of them...

Re: Rollerskates, barefeet, no smoking, exits and all that jazz!!
Going over/under chains/ropes was a big problem at Knott's. Mainly it was these stupid kids who were too lazy to get in line in the right place, or were linejumping, or just whizzing us off. They also tried climbing over fences and gates. The scariest thing I saw was when I was working Huff'n'Puff, next to Charlie Brown Speedway, and this 2 year old or so kid wiggled out of the queue at Speedway, ran around the back of the backdrop, and started to climb over the fence that surrounded the track WHILE THE CARS WERE MOVING! I called the R.O. at Speedway and told them, they E-stopped the ride, got the kid, and it took a few minutes to locate his mother in queue! Stupid bitch was too busy yakking to pay attention to her kid, he got impatient to ride, didn't understand that he needed to wait, and had I not called Speedway, that kid would've gotten killed. One night, it was about an hour before closing or so, and this very tall --over 6'6"--guy was standing at the fence at Speedway, which I was running, and at one point the dude stepped over the 5' tall fence to stomp on what he claimed was a big black spider that he said was dropping out of the trees. It was nowhere near the cars, so his claim that he didn't want it "attacking" his kids was bullshit.Talk about a near heart attack! I checked the area later, there was no spider residue. And if there was a "big" spider, I would've seen it, and didn't. Then one time I was at the Calico Railroad, the train was coming in, and I noticed it slowed down and stopped way short. I went over and asked the fireman what was up, and he said a group of HC's had opened the exit gate by the tracks while the train was approaching. I had been watching the train come in and didn't see them. When HCs enter through the exit gate--which can be used as an access entrance-- the train must be in the station or out of the station. But the conductor must let them in; they had let themselves in. That is a safety hazard. Luckily the train crew saw them and took proper action. I hate it when people do stupid things that scare the crap out of me like that. Another reason why I'm glad I don't work there anymore.

Re: Rollerskates, barefeet, no smoking, exits and all that jazz!!
I had slight "poetic justice" on those d*mn skating shoes last year.
I had a kid going nuts on them in the hotel lobby (you should see how those things mark up polished wood floors!) just skating around annoying other guests. I politely told him that for his own safety I needed him to stop using them- he gives me a look, his mother is near by and is like "oh its fine, he knows how to use them," blah blah blah....
....then the kid skates outside our lobby and immediately faceplants right onto the bricks in the porte cochere. Yeah, I couldn't laugh as I had to make sure he was okay, but I thought it was funny as anything. :D:
I really feel those skating shoes should be banned from disney. In the off event that they are still popular 15 years from now when my (now imaginary) kids will be of age to want them, that is the LAST thing they will get from me.

Possible responses (to the mother): "Oh he's fine. He knows how to use them."DisneyChick7 wrote:I had slight "poetic justice" on those d*mn skating shoes last year.

"I just need to make sure there is no blood on the bricks. We can't have other guests seeing how dangerous those skates can be."
