I miss the good old days
I miss the good old days
The days before Fantasmic, when the crowd-herding wasn't required so much. I understand the logic behind the ropes and flashlight beaers but it sure gets frustrating when you want to go one way and are told you have to go another. Must be frustrating for CM's to have to repeat themselves ad nauseum as well. I like sitting on the Main St. porch across from the Penny Arcade and sipping on cocoa and watching the flashlight waving CMs trying to guide guests going up and down Main St. after the fireworks. Someone ought to make a video and put music to it.

We do that regardless of the situation... usually variants of "Where's the bathroom?" and "Where's the exit?".M Nad wrote:Must be frustrating for CM's to have to repeat themselves ad nauseum as well.

For some reason, that thought amuses me. I hate it those nights when I have to do crowd control. Can't count how many times I have been run over by strollers when we tell people to change sides of the street........M Nad wrote:Someone ought to make a video and put music to it.

If you think that's frustrating, imagine how hard it would be if we DIDN'T direct traffic...M Nad wrote:I understand the logic behind the ropes and flashlight beaers but it sure gets frustrating when you want to go one way and are told you have to go another.

You think that's bad? Imagine that PAC staff are now required to attempt Pactivities *between* the parade and the fireworks. Yup, that's right. Right when every guest is trying to get somewhere else, we're out there with hula hoops!PirateJohn wrote:If you think that's frustrating, imagine how hard it would be if we DIDN'T direct traffic...
Makes me almost glad I'm leaving the MK.

I'm not going far. Given recent history, I think it's probably best I not say which hotel I'll be working at.
As for conning me out of (or into) a Jungle Cruise, I'm as available for that now as ever, considering I never was a jungle pilot.
