And. . .I'M OUT!

Post by IndyandMarion » Wed Jun 21, 2006 12:48 pm

Na na na na. Na na na na **** Coaster, I'm out.

I just received word that I am now officially a member of the "Icon" AKA: Great Movie Ride, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Sounds Dangerous and Muppets.

Four out of five attractions that I will love to work.

Great Movie Ride: Paid to play with guns.

Indiana Jones: My home

Star Tours: It was merchandise when I was there, but it's full circle.

Sounds Dangerous: A nice break, all ways AC.

Muppets: Eh, it's cute, don't mind working it, but would be my last choice.

On the horizon:

Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga: Ewoks, Frogs, Snakes, Movies and 12 Minutes of Pointless Fun.

Coldfire! *Enter Jack Sparrow Comment* Mabogie snickel snickel, toot suite, com'on! *End Sparrow Comment* I need to talk to you, you're the local icon expert.

PTFO Sunset. I hope that you all either:
a. Choke on a biscotti
or
b. Get stabbed in the eye with a really hot french fry

THEN READ IT AGAIN!

I just received word that I am now officially a member of the "Icon" AKA: Great Movie Ride, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Sounds Dangerous and Muppets.

Moving to the area which contains those attractions.

My Thoughts about those attractions

PTFO Sunset.
Is the nice way of saying screw rock n roller coaster and the area that it's in.

I haven't had any coffee yet and Im getting numerous calls from people in the old area asking what's going on. . .little edgy this morning.

Congrats, Indy! Good for you -- and now I have a better chance of meeting you on my next trip (ETA March '08 :( ) since my family isn't into the thrill rides as much.

I know the change will do you good. Congrats on the move. You looked a little "over it" the last time I saw you.

Hope all is well.

Congrats!! FYI: If you aren't "Tour Guide" trained at GMR, then you have to wait six months till you can get "character" trained. Hope to see you at GMR, though!!!

Take it you work at GMR.

While it is my home coming, I was in merchandise when I was in that area (Only at Star Tours and Epic though). Nonetheless, it's a home coming. But yeah, I'm not "Tour guide trained".

But does that mean that even I get that part of the training, I still can't do the tour itself? Or I just can't do the bandit/mobster. (Cause honestly, I sure as hell can't go Robin Williams on the fly and do a voice. And considering that I was born and raised here in FL. yet everyone says I have a northern accent, yeah, Im screwed)

Yep. I work there. You can get Gangster/Bandit trained but after you have been a Tour Guide for 6 months and nothing on your record. I do believe that you have to do the gun class before you can get "gangster" trained, being that they are real guns they shoot. And don't worry about the accent, some of them barely do it well enough (heck the only really good gangster accent, IMHO, is the guy who is from Brooklyn!!!).

Side note: Good another Floridian born and raised. That makes 27 that I know of, including myself...
