Re: Workbrain
Any DLR CMs receive a call (I received 3) this a.m. concerning pay checks? Was told to contact ____ @ #____ & they would go over my check making the needed changes. Hey, not too shabby since I hadn't even complained yet. Yea for SGT site & all angry DLR CMs :)

Re: Workbrain
At the job I had until last week :( the timekeeping system they used was pretty easy. You punched in a four digit number that was assigned to you then put your hand in the reader. The message would come up "Okay" and give a number score. I never got around to asking what the score meant, though. This was how you clocked in and out. If you didn't put your hand in right, there was a diagram of a hand with the positions of the little posts that your fingers were supposed to be positioned against, and a red light would glow where your hand was out of position. It was quick, accurate, and impossible to scam; nobody could clock in or out for you. Your hand, top and bottom were scanned, as long as you weren't wearing like a thousand rings on your fingers, had body glitter or too much lotion on your hands, there were no misreads. Maybe they could try that system, though I don't remember the name.

Re: Workbrain
i have no idea if we've switched to Workbrain yet or if we're still on ETRS, but I can say that I am kinda liking the new online labor request thingy. Now, if I need to complain to an ETR clerk that I wasn't paid correctly, I can just send them a message with exactly what is wrong, rather than going to a DA, who may or may not actually get around to sending ETR an email, and may or may not accurately relay my situation.
However, it has also managed to take the impersonal-ness of the scheduling process to a whole new level. Now, there is no way to actually speak in person to a scheduler ... it used to be that I'd go to the cast services office, where, inevitably, the person I needed to talk to would be away from their desk. Now, I think my scheduler's office is located at a completely different park, somewhere where lowly cast members can't even get to them. However, there is a convenient 13 branch phone tree we can follow, in order to be told "the person you are calling is not available. please leave a message"
(luckily, my local manager in charge of scheduling absolutely rocks, and if there's any problem, she can get it fixed for me)

Honestly...MATRA is a walk in the park compared to Workbrain. And if you guys thing you've got it bad as regular cast members, imagine the crap your leads have to do to sort everything out.
Personally, I'm with most of you guys and think that Workbrain is terrible. I'd rather be back to what we had before all this... *sigh*

Re: Workbrain
No, but I got a call from someone at payroll who started asking me questions. Like...if I was one of the x number of people who had check issues last week...did I want them to cut me a check for the difference, or roll it into next week's check. Did I know how to access Workbrain on the portal...all that kind of weird stuff.Main Streeter wrote:Any DLR CMs receive a call (I received 3) this a.m. concerning pay checks? I just sat there thinking, "I was woken up for this?" At least it wasn't scheduling.

Re: Workbrain
Workbrain has been being mean to plenty of cm's at the hotels. I've been lucky and have escaped, but a few friends of mine haven't been. One of my friend's said her walk time had disappeared. Ugh, and MATRA, I don't even want to go there. I'm just glad that Hotel Stores isn't the only place that has that anymore, lol.

Matra & I have actually become friends. NEVER thought I'd say this! When I can ring @ Emporium without a mistake for 11 hrs., recover easily when a guest changes their mind, do a quick return & close too, Matra must be doing something right. Sure isn't me!! Still headaches & bugs with Matra

Will be so cool when DLR C M discounts are loaded in & working. WDW & DL Japan CM IDs work just great with Matra. Go figure.
