Fastpass Woes

Post by DLRFantasmic!Dan » Sat Mar 04, 2006 9:49 pm

I didn't know that the fast passes can be such trouble. It just creat so much drama!! I was at merge at Buzz and I had a long line of Fast pass, so i let them all in and collect their fastpasses. In the stand by line, there was this hispanic family, the son asked me when they get to go in and I said when I collect all the fast passes. Then, the mother goes, "Don't you let some in fast passes and some stand by". By the time, I collected all the fast passes, and let some stand by in. The father goes, "It's about damn time!" I guess they don't understand the concept of a fast pass. They are just so impatient.

Anyone got more fast pass related stories?

People are just so stupid when it comes to Fast Passes. Every guest has an equal chance of getting one, yet they bitch at the Cast Members for letting people who has Fast Passes go on the ride first.

The human being is an impatient creature. Whenever I see people running to an attraction I always tell them to walk. "It isn't like the building will grow a pair of legs and run away from you!!!" People complain all the time that they have to wait another 4 or 5 minutes at CoP or SGE.

FPers aren't usually part of my day. Give all you CMs in Attraction great credit :hi5: for the insults & tempers you put up with hourly. My FP problems are at Ca Screamin, pounding FP headaches at Space Mt. Image, but the most evil  FP guests always catch me at Briar Patch. They can't understand why we won't give them a FP. They can't comprehend why we can't make the lines shorter. Last summer when FPs were gone by 2 p.m. this was my fault. One guest really tore into me cuz I ruined his $6,000.00 vacation by 2 p.m. I was so proud of myself! Nothing else to do but make sure he had my name & give him the 2 finger point to City Hall. He was actually going to have me fired. I wanted to say "get in line" :) Funny, after he left, I still had my job. :dancear:

The best is when you are at Pooh Greeter and people demand help with Splash's fast pass. I have told people how to get a fast pass but anything that requires opening the machine I can't do. One has to be trained on Splash (even though I know mansion (was trained there when it had fastpass year round) and was trained on Pooh when it still had fastpass) to touch the machines. I guess people assume if you're dressed like the splash kids you are one.

EXACTLY!!! They think they get to the front of the line faster if they run!!! For Space Mountain, at HISTA Greeter, I go "WALK PLEASE!!! Space Mountain is not going anywhere!!! Funny one time, they stopped and thought that Space Mountain wasn't working!! Their brains seem to pick up certain red flag words, lol!!

That's why I want each location to have it's own costumes. I don't like how Buzz is sharing it with Little Green Men Store Command. HISTA/ASTRO and Auto should have separate costumes.

I feel your pain and I know what you've been through! Whether idiot stand-by guests get mad because they are in a "microwave" society or FastPass returning guests get mad because you can't let them in early, dealing with FastPass in a pain in the ass! I used to get upset by the shitheads while at Space Mountain, Small World Holiday, Roger Rabbit's CarToon Spin, Star Tours, and Autopia until I got to the point where I fight fire with fire and put them all in their places. Stand by guests would constantly ask about Fast Pass at the last minute and when I was at greeter, I would have guests who had gotten Fast Passes and expected to come in early! No way, baby! Then, they get mad at you because they hold a Fast Pass for another attraction and can't get another until they use the one they have! The only excetpion are the ones who hold passports that allow multiple FastPass tickets. No matter how you explain it, the idiots don't even try and listen but think they own you! Bbut they don't and they never will....

Almost every guest, except for a select handful, just have to do EVERY little thing there is to do at WDW including: water parks that are closed because it is winter, attractions that are under refurbishment, shop at every store... even the ones that are closed at 11pm!!! Hell, I'm a cast member (6 months now) and I have been a disney guest for many years... AND I STILL HAVEN'T DONE EVERY THING THERE IS TO DO AT WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
