Update that I just had to share..
I hate f***ing cheerleaders. So, the saga tonite went as follows. About 12:20am, a girl came in with her mom and her mom's friend. The girl asked for a key to her room. I asked is your group leader here. She said No. I said I'm sorry I cannot give you a key. The mom immediately got pissed and said why not. I am her mom. I asked if she was a guest here. She said No. I told her the rooms are under the group leader and group leader only, which means what kids? That's right. The leader has to be here in person to release a key. I informed her that also because she is a minor, hotel policy states I cannot give a key to her. The mom said why can't you just let her in? I said I can't let her in there by herself. The person responsible has to be here to get another key and since you are not a guest here I cannot give you a key. She proceeds to call Grandpa who is staying here in another room. He comes down and I explain that I still cannot give out a key because this room is not in his name. The mom gets majorly pissed and says that "everyone else" has given out keys to the other girls, no questions asked. I said that should not have happened, I can't speak for them but they are not me. I am following the rules and it is for her (the girl's) safety. The girl snorts and gets attitude. I said if I was to give you a key and something happened to you while you were alone..I left it at that. Now my friend Tink knows this, even though the leader/coach is responsible, when it comes down to it, it would be the hotel biting it in the ass. It has been about an hour so far. Turns out they were all at (wait for it) Disneyland! Yep, this one got lost from her friends who had her key. They were still shopping on Main St and would be here soon. So the girl calls her coach and gives the phone to me. I explain that I would love to hand over the key and I do believe she is who she says she is, but unfortunately, you could be anyone on this phone and I have to see the person to give the key to. The coach says no problem and hangs up. During this entire time, they are making rude comments about my being not being kind and we will be speaking to a manager and have you written up, blah blah blah. About five minutes later, the coach shows up, they all run out and the coach comes in to see me. She asks for a key to this room. I say sure, may I see your ID? She hands it over quietly and I give her a key. She asks me if I can give it to the girl. I say No I'm sorry, it's best if you hand it to her. The best part of this whole mess was the fact that as the lobby doors are closing I hear the coach say to the girl, "I know that you're upset, but don't take that tone with me." Oh yeah. I am so glad I stood up for what I thought was right. I will still feel that way when these bitches complain tomorrow cause I know they will. See, there is a whole other chapter to this story. At the time they checked in, the leader was not here. Now there are no notes saying it is okay to give the original keys to anyone else. So of course when this woman shows up with cheerleaders in tow saying we want our keys, what do you you think our first response was? That's right. No. She starts to scream about how in the morning she was given other keys and on and on. Finally we hand over the keys and this was brought up to me tonight. Ugh. Thankfully they are checking out today. Good riddance I say. BUH BYE.

O.k. I'm not saying that some Cheerleaders are not rude and annoying. I'm also not saying that Cheer mom's can't be rude because they can. But I actually use to be a Cheerleader and I use to come down to Disney every year for the Cheerleading National's at the Wide World of Sports Complex. But please believe me when I say that not all Cheerleaders are as you describe because I'm wasn't like that at all. And I personally don't like the Cheerleaders who act like that and give hard-working Cheerleaders and Squads a bad name. But please keep in mind that when times are slow and CM are not getting hours in Feb. and March Cheerleading National's do help contribute to that. Now I have been a guest during this time period, I have been a participant, and I have been a Cast Member so I know what all of you are talking about. But please don't think that all Cheerleaders are as you all have described because they are not.....
Thank You for letting me tell you all how I feel as a Cheerleader (who has respect for rules, and other's around me)..

I went back last May as part of my school's marching band, and I must say, no one in the group behaved nearly that badly. The behavior that goes on in the parks, amongst all demographics of guests, however, tends to be appalling... or hilarious.

THEY ARE GONE!! All 7,000 S F cheerleader brats/darlings - you choose ;) . Left tonight. Stores have been thoroughly trashed daily. Poor Custodial CMs are in pain. Most Attractions CMs are suffering cheer headaches. Not to leave out ODVers who put up with more than "Stupid" during cheer competition. Now we can get back to normal SGT. Oh, wait a sec - it's 2fer time. :(

Oh God, don't get me started on the damn cheerleaders. I feel sorry for you folks that have to actually smile at the little bastards. We made the mistake of booking 10 days for my birthday right during their competition in December. They totally ruined our trip. Cheering at the resorts at 6:30 in the morning. Cheers on the buses. Thinking they own the place. A friend of mine and I got in a shouting match with a 'cheer mom' on the bus after we told them to STFU and stop being such asses. We got the 'it's an honor for them to be here and they work hard' thing. We told them we'd be honored if they'd shut up. Several other guests joined us in our request and put them in their place. My wife was on a bus with my son and two teams decided it was time for a competition. Yelling back and forth with the encouragement of their parents. The bus driver asked them to please be quiet and they ignored him.
All I know is I'll ask reservations next time if there's going to be any cheerleaders around when I book next. Would have been nice to be told that last year. I'd have put off the trip a week or two.

Re: Stupid Freaking Cheerleaders!!!!!
Not related to the park side of cheer hell, I had the mistake of running into cheerleaders this past weekend as I headed into a comic/media convention.
To put it simply, the cheerleaders who complained that they had to share the convention center with the "freaky comic book people" got my comment of the day...
"Hey, we dont' really want to spend it with you scary cheerleaders."
Nuff Said.

Re: Stupid Freaking Cheerleaders!!!!!
I heard so many horror stories from long time ago from older CMS who used to work the event. One question: Is this the same cheerleading competition that also took place at Disneyland, or is a whole different competition???

Re: Stupid Freaking Cheerleaders!!!!!
They must think they should be treated as royalty when visiting the parks.
We were once heading back from the park to the parking lot on a tram and we had the pleasure of sitting with these cheerleaders. The tram makes it first stop and they are flailing their arms like idiots to the other cheerleaders a few cars ahead of them to come join them for that *long* 2 minute journey to the next stop at the Timon lot. You can't wait 2 minutes to talk to one of your friends once you're off the tram instead of trying to search for a spot in the same car as your clueless friend in a full tram?
