Question: Ears embroidery
Hey all,
I have a question: when I buy Golden mickey Ears (with a Minnie bow of course), and I want to have them embroidered, will the CM just embroider anything on it, or is it just my first name?
Are some CMs better on this than others? I won't be there until September, but I want to be prepared :)

Re: Question: Ears embroidery
It's strictly first names. Nothing else. I wanted to get a custom embroidered name on a Stormtrooper cap I bought about a year and a half ago (my Stormtrooper designation from my Star Wars Galaxies Stormtrooper guild,) and was told no.sandravb79 wrote:Hey all,

Re: Question: Ears embroidery
When I worked at Chapeau on Main Street, they wouldn't even let the sewers write "Mom" on the hats.
And they charge for embroidery now too, it's like $2 or something. Just so you know.

In Anaheim we don't charge for the name. But it does have to be your legal first name or a variation thereof.

Re: Question: Ears embroidery
Can anyone tell me exactly why other names (non-offensive) are not allowed? Or does it just cost more?

Re: Question: Ears embroidery
They want to stay away from offensive names, however I was able to get them to emborder one of the 50th ears with "Happy Birthday Daddy". It's not a first name, but it's also not offensive, talk to the manager if you want something special, they usually are understanding.

Re: Question: Ears embroidery
I want a "Sandra Mouse" one, instead of "Sandra" :)
Of course I could embroider it myself at home (I do have an embroidery machine, I even have a Disney license!) but that is not the same....
(yeah yeah yeah, just make fun out of me, I'm such a freak ;) )
And how do you keep those ears ON your head? That's the main reason why I didn't buy them in October, I just didn't think they would work well with all my curls...
(of course, now I regret that I didn't buy them, and that's the main reason I'll return in September
)

i don't know if they have it at other locations, but at the star trader in tomorrowland, one of the cast members had barettes, they were even gold to match the gold ears.sandravb79 wrote: And how do you keep those ears ON your head? Re: Question: Ears embroidery
Yeah, we gave out bobby pins to guests to keep them clipped to their hair. We had black ones for the black ears, and shiny ones for the gold ears. They work pretty well. The gold ears are freakin' huge.lady ulrike wrote:i don't know if they have it at other locations, but at the star trader in tomorrowland, one of the cast members had barettes, they were even gold to match the gold ears.
