Seeking Advice

Hey everyone,

I've been following this site for a while and decided to post with a question I think everyone here would be perfect to help answer.

I'm a junior in college and for spring break 3 of my buddies and myself are using my family's timeshare at the Boardwalk Villas. One of the 3 is a semi-regular at WDW but only Magic Kingdom and Epcot, it will be his first visit to the Studios and DAK. Another has not been down to WDW since the 25th celebration and the 3rd has never been down to WDW. I've been down countless times and lost count years ago.

Now for my question, I've been trying to think of a surprise for each day to help make the trip memorable to them. The only current idea i have is to "volunteer" for the film scene on the backlot tour at the Studios.
Does anyone have any ideas on other "surprises" for me to sneak into the trip.

We will be down there and will be in the parks from March 6-10th.

I only worked at MK, but get there early and often to ask at City Hall to be Grand Marshalls of the Parade. Tell a Guest Service person its somebodys birthday, or better yet two people in your partys birthday....

Epcot... four words.... Drink Around the World.

I don't know how he did this, but my fiance somehow managed to get him and I to be the special guests of the night at Pleasure Island and we got to set off the fireworks at midnight on the BET soundstage. That was an incredible experience, so maybe that would work?

Character dining is always fun, if you can get somewhere with your friends' fave characters.

Or you could try and get them to be volunteers at the Indiana Jones show at MGM. Did that once, and it was so much fun!

Like it was said earlier you can try and become grand marshals of any parade.

Unfortunately they no longer are doing the fireworks at Pleasure Island so that wouldn't work.

Seriously?! Since when? Because I set off the fireworks on December 21, 2005. This must be just a recent change. :(

Ask to sit up front with the driver of the monorail, it is such an amazing view, and the experience is unforgetable. Epcot is the longest ride, where as the one to MK has a great view of the castle, just depends on what you are looking for.

If I was down there working, I'm a sap for a great family story, and I usually take people through the fast pass lane a space moutain. But talk to the cast members, most of them love making magic for guests, they will help you out!

December 31st was the last "New Year's Eve every night" fireworks at PI.

For someone who has been to WDW so many times, I've never riden in the front car of the monorail. I'm definitely gonna make that happen. I'm loving the ideas from everyone else too. If anyone else has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
