I HERE you..I know bad pun..that WDW contract HERE split sides with the contract with someone form the other HERE (Not the 362) going to the unauthorized meeting and approving the contract behind union heads back, now isn't that a reason to pay 9.60 a week to have two divisions of the smae union fighting each other. Our contract is so weak, and many of us can't make head of tails of it, and things are happening to us that the Union is not fighting...aka full time was no less than 38-40 hours a week, now barely getting 32-33 hours a week, with CPs getting 40-50 sometimes. Health Plan changes not ratified. Now I find out that since Cst First Aid was moved to EPCOT that as of recently the company no longer provided transportain to FAhhsrat wrote: I should rephrase the initial statement. HERE Local 362 pretends to represent attractions at WDW. Based on the rather weak contract they negotiated, I sometimes wonder if they actually have our best interests in mind.
and if you dont have your own car if your at magic kingdom you have to take two monorails and walk through EPCOT all the way to the back of the Cast lot to get there (My roomie broke his hand and dhad to do this, bleeding with a rag on his hand in front of guests) and the Union is okay with this?
I've been a pro union person for 10 years...now Im thinking I could use $10 a week for something else. I know in CA the Union is strong, here in WDW since it is a right to work state it is a joke. I wish we were all under teamsters but alas :(
DISCLAIMER: Before I get hate mail I believe in Unions, they do save jobs, make things better, sometimes...we just need one strong union not alot of little unions fighting each other.
