Expedition Everest Question

Post by PrncssCinderAlly » Mon Jan 02, 2006 1:35 am

hi friends! So heres the scoop:
i am an attractions CM at DLP and i am going on vacation some time this spring to WDW. Just wondering if any of you knew the exact dates for the opening of EE or if you knew if they'd be soft opening sometime before like they do every other ride at DLR. From the estimates i hear, it looks as if you will be opening it on April 1st of 2006? Also, if just wondering if any of you have been transferred to the test and adjust team yet. If so, hows it going? Anyway... lemmie know... THANKS!

I don't know anything official, but if I had to guess, I'd say the official opening will most likely be April 22, since that's the anniversary of the opening of AK. I'm sure there will be soft openings before then, as well as CM previews, but no idea when these will be.

The Test/Adjust team has already been at the mountain, the opening trainers have already been there, and non-trainers are starting to be trained.

One of my friends is an opening trainer at everest. I'm proud of him, and enjoy bragging about him. I feel like a proud mom, but instead of an honor student I have an everest cm. It should be an awesome attraction, apparently the costumes are embarrasing, but that's pretty common for all of disney. Back to the main point, everest is going to rock!

Be sure to let us locals know if you'd like to meet some of us in person! :cucumber: :chili:

Expedition Everest was in soft opening today. The Travel Channel is filming, and needed bodies for the shoot. Cast previews are expected to continue through T&A. Grand opening is expected 22 April, the anniversary of AK.

I was only away for a three day railroad conference in Cocoa Beach. Back now. I'm still working as conductor on Wednesdays, though that may change to Mondays.
